Michiru and Mamoru were having breakfast and talking about what to do now when the phone rang. The senshi of Neptune stood up and got to the phone.
"Hello, Michiru Kaio here..."
"Michiru ? It's me, Haruka..."
"Haruka !?" She put her hand on the mike and turned to stare helplessly at Mamoru. The prince of Earth looked ready to panic. They hadn't found a way to break the news to the others yet ! "Ummm... Is your race already over ?"
"Michiru... I know"
"You know ?" Michiru paled "What do you know !?"
"Pluto told me everything... You caught the flu and had sex with a man" Michiru could hear Haruka hesitate "I can't blame you. The same thing happened to me..."
Michiru felt faint but Mamoru caught her in time "I... I don't know what to say... Where are you ?"
"I'm with Pluto at the..." A pause, she heard Haruka ask something to someone else "Tendo dojo in Nerima. There are other things you should know... But I can't talk about it on the phone. Please, can you... ?"
"I'll come as quickly as possible"
"Michiru, one last thing... bring the man you slept with. It concerns him as well"
"Are... are you sure ?"
"Certain. Do I know him ?"
"We'll be arriving as soon as possible, bye !" Michiru hanged up abruptly, not wanting to answer the question. Mamoru hugged her, trying to comfort the upset sailor Neptune "You heard ?"
"Yes. It's time to face the music. At least, Haruka won't kill me outright..." He smirked "But I'm seeing lots of pain in my near future"
Michiru giggled. Mamoru was so sweet to try to cheer her up "Let's go, before I lose my nerve" Mamoru nodded and the unlikely couple went to put their clothes on. A few minutes later, they were gone and dropped Hotaru at one of her friends' place.
No one was home to answer the following call. Mercury left a message and tried to reach the other senshi while trying to forget the image of finding her mother naked in bed with a man she didn't know.
