Silent Hero: Tarou's Gambit [Episode 145111]

by Sgt. Chibi De`Ohki

"Brought you something, M'boy!" Happosai called out cheerfully, Tarou running a few rooftops behind him, huffing and red-faced.

"Fem-boy!" he yelled. "I'm gonna fold you in half!"

Ranma felt a bit confused. "Why?" he asked plaintively. "What did I do to you?" Happosai landed on the edge of the Tendo home's roof, and then moved to stand behind Ranma when Tarou shattered a few roof-tiles with an axe-kick. "And hey! Don't bust up the Tendo's place again!"

Tarou glared at Ranma, then pointed at Happosai. "I've got a plan," he finally said. "I heard about what you did in China. I live there, do you think I wouldn't?"

"Jusenkyou is old news," Ranma said tiredly.

"I meant about Saffu-Long, you twit!" Tarou growled. "It's all over the major power-players in China! And when people were having trouble believing it, Prince Haabu went and said that you were an ally of his, because you'd matched him in a fight once."

"That explains that," Ranma allowed, scratching the back of his neck uncomfortably. "But what's that got to do with you 'folding me in half'?"

"Hah!" Tarou snorted. "I know your weak spot, Saotome. Now, since you beat up Saffu-Long, and Haabu, you can take on an old man like Happosai easy. So beat him up and make him change my name!"

Ranma looked at Tarou askance. "Weak spot?" he asked doubtfully. "Uh.... Yeah. You know, Tarou, you probably shouldn't pick fights with people who can beat Saffron and Herb."

"Saffu-Long," Tarou corrected. "Haabu. If I can learn your stupid language you can at least say Chinese names right."

Ranma grunted, and turned to look at Happosai. "And your thoughts on this, ol' letch?"

Happosai twirled his pipe, and grinned. "I think you'd rather not face me, boy," he said warningly.

"I don't really have a reason to," he said, shrugging.

"Can't say I didn't give you the chance," Tarou said philosophically, leaping off the edge of the Tendo home. His monstrous hybrid form soon loomed over the roof, and Ranma took up a defensive stance, ready to fight if he'd have to. But Tarou didn't fight, he simply stooped down, then leapt upward and began winging away.

And then Ranma heard the scream from Tarou's captive, and he twitched.
