Chained World - Rei: Chinese Amazon [Episode 145198]

There was a village in the Bayankala Mountain Range where warrior women trained every day in the martial arts. It was in Time magazine, and it was a favored place as far as news photographers and the like were concerned. Still, they restricted access to themselves as cultural contamination WAS a concern.

In this Chained World, they had gotten tired of strange people wanting to challenge them and had worked out a method with Project GEHERN (Genetic Engineering Human Enhancement Retroactive Nanotech) which eventually broke off (legally at least) from their parent company to become a major corporation in their own right.

GEHERN pioneered braintaping, which used technology itself developed for the slave industry in brainmapping and "correctional therapy." Eventually they could analyze and put together a "Chinese Amazon" package which included significant martial arts techniques and reflexes. The body then could be trained to be able to use those abilities.

There were some problems still. Brainstamps didn't work too well with normal people due to differing brain architecture and chemical balances. Clones without much experience were ideal and the usual side effects were just minor things like speech impediments or a tendency to get overly amorous.

Rei 131 had some defects, and therefore was considered ideal as a prize to be awarded.
