And now Uzumi, who his father had worshipped/loved/envied/hated/depended onto death and beyond was dead, and Cagalli was here, Cagalli the brave, Cagalli the beautiful, Cagalli who wasn't even Uzumi's daughter by blood...
Cagalli Yula Athha, who'd been sort-of maybe engaged to him at the tender age of two because even though Uzumi had loved her, a little, maybe even more then a little, even then, putting Papa in his place had been more important. Getting his son engaged to a princess who wasn't even really of the royal blood...
Uzumi Nala Athha, how I hate thee even now. You made my Papa miserable, and I don't think you even knew it. Not really. Not truly.

Of course, what people wanted wasn't set in stone by any means. It usually was this fuzzy wobbly messy furry thing, and was as changeable as the weather when it came to small details.
Or maybe, even more so.
The big details, though...those, now, didn't change so quickly...
Yuuna stood up and waved at the incoming car, swooshing in through the cherry petals.
Cagalli. And her "bodyguard" slash "assistant".
