He studied the resulting images intently for the duration of the spell. These then were the other folk of whom Ranma had referenced when he'd spoken of the odd magical device drama from his home reality.
The images themselves were taken from Ranma's mind, though Froderick had expected more resistance from the magic. Perhaps his apprentice was in a relaxed state of mind.
"Show me the one that of this tale," said Froderick first, "the one who sat in brooding jail."
The blonde woman wore a labcoat and had a cruel look to her eyes, not entirely sane if Ranma's story was accurate.
"The next one that I do seek," said Froderick, "of the one named Misato - give me a peek."
This woman's image was more saddened than anything else, looking strong yet somehow frail.
One after the other, he went through them. A brooding boy, a bespectacled man, an older man, three younger men, two young boys about Ranma's age, a young girl about the same age, a strange birdlike beast, the 'Eva' units.
The images died out when the spell reached its end, the vapors dissipating.
One thing left to try.
Was the spell duplicable or was Ranma the sole individual who could cast it?
Froderick began the spell, changing Ellran's Immortal Animation to exactly follow Ranma's directions. When he did, he felt the magical forces lurch and seem to resist him, but at the end-
