“Strange,” said Pluto.
“What is it?” asked Mercury.
“As far as we are concerned, only one day has happened since the field stabilized,” said Pluto. “But to them, a whole month has passed.”
“WAH!” cried Soun. “My daughter’s been killed by starvation!”
“Not likely,” snorted Cologne. “The field will keep them alive and sustained with food, water, and energy until the job is done. Sleep might even be afforded to them.”
“So what?” growled Akane. “That pervert is probably keeping it up just to get his jollies.”
“Not likely as well,” said Cologne. “Within that month, all of them should be pregnant. The balls should have ensured a quicker ovulation, even on son-in-law.”
“It must be Dumpling Head’s fault,” sighed Sailor Mars.
Sailor Uranus chuckled. “Takes a lot to mess up something that simple. I’ll give the girl credit, she must have skills to have pulled that off.”
“There may be another explanation,” offered Mercury, still stinging from the verbal abuse she got yesterday from holding back on the gender-bending ability they had. “Perhaps unlike Mr. Saotome, when she shifts back to male, she does not hold the possible egg.”
Cologne nodded. “Perhaps, in which case, every time she shifts, it would need to be repeated.”
“Oh, that can’t be good then,” said Kasumi. “That means the others are going without proper prenatal care.”
Many of the assembled people facefaulted.
Nodoka was torn, having arrived before the groups left last night, and hearing the tale of Zeus balls. While she was happy that Ranma might give her at least two grandchildren—three if Sailor Moon’s swimmers were slow—she was torn between the idea of her son giving her yet another one ... by birthing it himself/herself.
Of course, that did mean more grandbabies, but it would also mean her son wasn’t being constantly manly.
“Let Shampoo in, stupid field!” yelled the Amazon, pounding on the field. “She show Airen how done, make certain stupid magic girl learn lesson!”
Ukyo growled, but stayed silent. She was still sore from when she had snuck back after nightfall to try and bash her way into the field and be with her fiancé, after all, she was the cute one, not some money-hungry Ice Queen who would probably sell the baby the first chance she got.
“There is also the chance that Sailor Moon’s magic is somehow causing interference within the field,” offered Mercury.
“So I was right,” said Mars.
“There must be something we can do, Tendo,” said Genma, not wanting to have to spend another night at his wife’s house. She was still rather angry at him when Cologne just happened to mention some of the ways he had trained Ranma, including the Nekoken, and he was relatively certain she might attack him again in his sleep.
Plus, she refused to lend him money for alcohol, muttering something about him being ‘chunkier’ than when he had left.
Sighing, Cologne turned back towards Pluto. “Any chance you can speed up time within the temporal displacement field?”
Pluto shook her head. “Sadly no, a month per day exchange is all I can accomplish. Hopefully they will finish before their own kids become old enough for the field to affect.”
