“How much was Ranma paid for this time, two yen?” Sayuri followed. It was too much in her opinion. After that jerk ruined her wedding Sayuri wondered why she still kept him around in her house.
Akane almost growled in irritation. Couldn’t anyone see that was the one conversation that she didn’t want to take up? Friends were supposed to help her forget about stuff like that, not remind her of it. “That pervert got these two himself,” Akane told them in a tone that also said to shut up. “He probably met them on a street corner in China and brought them back with him after getting some.”
Yuka nodded her head in agreement, that did sound like Ranma. Over a year of hearing Akane tell her just what that freak was capable of had almost given her a sixth sense about these things. Yuka probably knew Ranma better than Akane did herself by now. “I told you Akane, you should have had him neutered.”
“Why don’t you just kick them out?” Sayuri asked.
Akane shuttered when the reason for that came to mind…
(-Yesterday Night-)
Akane gripped the gloved arms of the other girl and tried to pull the hands from her throat, but couldn’t move them a single centimeter. The dark skinned girl didn’t even seem to be angry, she wasn’t even struggling to hold onto her death grip! Out of the corner of her eyes Akane could see Nabiki was already heading back up to her room, and Kasumi had already left. Ranma was unconscious.
As dark splotches started to appear in her vision and her strength waned, Akane realized this was how she was going to die. It was pathetic, killed by one of Ranma’s whores. She couldn’t even force air through her windpipe to curse him with her last breath.
(-Present Day-)
Ranma had pulled the other girl off of Akane right before she could black out, but then ruined the whole thing by taking them up to his bed and making them throw Genma out of his room before locking it shut. The bastard didn’t even stand up for her! Not that she needed it of course, but if he wasn’t even going to help her when she needed it then her family should just throw him out and be done with it.
Of course when her father actually tried, he ended up with a few broken bones and burns thanks to that Jane girl. Despite their western heritage, Akane could see those girls were Amazons through and through. That stupid law of theirs must have made their entire family breed with outsiders so much that they had practically no Chinese blood in them. It was another thing that made Akane despise about those stupid Amazons, they had no pride in their own race.
“Akane? Hello, Earth to Akane. Are you there?”
Akane just ignored her friend’s questions. She had gotten pretty good at ignoring things lately.
Meanwhile in another class…
Nabiki loved money; she loved the feel of it in her hands, the smell of it, the beautiful colors, and the masterwork of art on each piece of paper that showed its value and authenticity. As she savored all those things, Nabiki wondered what the money in her hands should go to. She’d been wanting a new CD player, or maybe some new dresses; Akane wouldn’t even let Nabiki in her room anymore since her little sister found out she had been borrowing her clothes without permission, and that penitence that Nabiki got from her father when it came to allowances withdrawn from her mother’s savings was nothing but a joke.
“Nabiki Tendo you have your money, now tell me what has happened to the pigtailed girl. Has the foul sorcerer Saotome brought her back from China or not?” Kuno demanded as his hired lackey and information source counted her money.
“Well Kuno baby,” Nabiki began as she started to tell a tale that only an idiot like the pawn in front of her would ever believe. The only question was if she should sick the stupid samurai on the new girls, or have him chasing after Ranma to ‘rescue’ them.
