CC Pokegirls: Important Children [Episode 146905]

by Kender

The room was dark around the edges, but the center was brightly lit, making it clear that what happened there was of importance. Of course, the hard wood of the set up did so as well, what with the seating arranged around a table that was essentially a big 'O' that had the sort of absence of imperfections that only the very powerful could afford. Each of the people there wore clothing that made it clear that they would not be taken lightly, and had anyone been there to see just who they were, they would have had to be cleared by a very rigorous security check... just to shake hands with some of them.

At the 'head' of the table, an older man leaned forward and looked at each of those there. "Well, gentlemen...."

One of the delegates coughed lightly.

"And ladies. We have to determine just what we will do with these... 'pokegirls'."

"Do we believe this story?" asked a man who looked to be from the same generation as the 'head'. "I mean, 'demon summoning gone wrong'?"

"We're talking about what essentially is a child, sir. She can't know exactly what brought her here, if she's even right about that," a man in his early thirties commented.

"Then where do you think they came from?"

"An off shore lab? Another nation's experimentation? The future? Alien worlds? How can we know? For all we know, they are from a parallel universe. But no matter what we do, we have these here, and they're causing the situation that we have to deal with."

"What about them, then?"

"From what we can tell, they are simple children," a woman put in. "They look to be eager to please, helpful, and very... happy."

"Any combative tendencies?" asked a man in a military uniform.

"Only when fighting, or guarding. They seem to be very protective of those they care about, and actually want to help others. Which leads into the whole 'hero' behavior systems. Otherwise, they're as playful as children their age tend to be."

"No hidden dangers? No secret programming?"

"Not to be seen."

"Then it appears that they are as we first thought. Children who want to play 'hero', but unlike most of their age group, they have the powers to back it up," the head said to them all. "Then the question is what do we do about them, and their desire to expand."

"The problem with that they all want to marry him," the younger man reminded him with a bit of a wry tone to his voice.

Another man made a scoffing sound. "Polygamy is illegal in this nation. Can't we give them other people to consider marrying?"

"But they are loyal to this single boy. As far as we can tell, they're bonded to him in some way. We're not sure how far it goes, but they are definitely connected, and might not be able to consider other options," disagreed the woman, with a shake of her head.

"But we can use more girls like these," a middle aged man insisted vehemently. "Think of it. One of them can control fire, and if fire fighters can use that.... Or police with a girl who can outrun any suspect. Or the inventions that could be made.... They can contribute so much, and the possibilities are endless."

"However, we can't force anything. To do so might cause problems, and the idea of forcing them to breed when they're old enough...."

"I believe that we can all agree that such actions would be distasteful, to say the least. I would just like to have more of them around."

"So, we can just make it easier for them," the head of the meeting suggested with a raised brow.

"Are you suggesting that we let him...."

"We may not have any choice. And perhaps they'll chose others of their own free will. But we can make it possible."

"And what happens if there are so many about?" grumbled the other older man. "Or will we make this boy have only these girls as possible mothers to his children?"

"We can always make it so that he can marry a human girl, and keep the others as.... well, they are children, so we have time," the thirty something suggested.

"And if this boy and his 'pokegirls' are helping our society, the least we can do is to help them," the meeting head murmured, and smiled at the nods of the others, while:
