[Episode 148192] [Episode 148192]Fortunately for him, his prayers were answered, as he managed to lock the door. He could here a scratching on the other side. As he sighed in relief, he heard his assistant gasping behind him. He turned to the younger apprentice. “Are you harmed?”
The apprentice turned to his master, and gulped. “No sir. But, what about everyone…”
The elder scientist shook his head. “They are lost by now. Maybe one or two survived…I’ve locked the door…I need you to pull up Code NKOZ-OMG.” He leaned against the wall, obviously tired. “I’m not as young as I used to be…”
The apprentice nodded, and began typing in the code. “That has the antidote formula e-mailed to our remote base, right?”
“No. Only the vaccine. There is no antidote.”
“So…Everyone’s stuck like that, forever. As…, as…”
The elder scientist bowed his head. “Yes. They are all SEX-CRAZED CATGIRLS!”
There was silence, except for the faint scratching. The scientist thought for a minute. “You know…that’s…actually not as threatening as I thought it would sound…”
The assistant nodded. “Yeah. I never did get the exact specifications. What is the deal?”
The elder took a deep breath. “We were on a search for the ultimate weapon. I came up with the idea myself. There is nothing more loveable, but deadly, then a cat. They alone off all creatures can claw you, yet you still love them. No human can harm a kitten. They are agile, powerful, and deadly. As such, an army of them would be unstoppable. To be sure of it, we used two things. The first is the virus. Anyone clawed, bitten, or exposed to enough fluids will become a catgirl as well. The second was starfish DNA, granting them the ability to reproduce asexually, and incredible regeneration. There were only two flaws…”
The assistant smiled. “Allergic to silver and go crazy at full moons?”
The elder scientist got up, and managed to get enough energy to slap his foolish apprentice. “No! The subject was ADHD, and is allergic to peanuts! The first one got added to the template, and the last is just an inconvenience!”
“Subject? I thought the Catgirl was test-tube grown?”
The elder scientist bowed his head. “The production model was going to be test-tube grown, but we had to test the virus first. We acquired twelve subjects, all volunteers. Of these, only one survived. She was a homeless orphan girl, with fiery red hair and an attitude. She had a bit of a libido, and this was added to the template. When she transformed, her memory was shattered, along with much of her sanity. Now, she’s just a calico kitten, and she could destroy humanity.” He sighed, and looked up to the stars. “To think, such a thing, caused by a simple math error.”
The assistant walked towards the door. “I didn’t know. I knew we were putting her under anesthetic, which is how I caught the dosage problem. You guys under dosed her, so she woke up when you were taking blood samples. I should have realized something was up, when you had to take blood samples of a test-tube baby, for the production model. We’ll just stay here until we die then, boss?”
The elder shook his head. “Yes. That code enabled the self-destruct. I hope that the explosion will destroy them. We can’t be sure, since we never tested her regeneration much. They might regenerate from even a single cell. It doesn’t matter. The vaccine is safe in the hands of our allies. If they can replicate it before the outbreak, the world might be…”
He heard the door slide open, as the assistant finished unlocking it. He watched as a swarm of catgirls, most in the remains of labcoats, swarmed over them. He felt teeth pierce him, and heard his assistant yell something, just before everything was turned to fire…
“MEOW MIX HERE I COME!”
Outside, a red-haired figure was resting in the grass, her calico fur rustling in the breeze. She sighed, watching the pollen float overhead. “Nyi’m glad I got out of there when I did.” She looked at the area around her, covered with rubble. “I hope they get better…That assistant was kinda cute. Oh well, time to find some sisters!” She hopped up, and stretched. She hummed a jingle to herself, as she tried to find her first new convert…
