Normally, Shinji would deal with this sort of horribly unreal stressful situation by stressing out, having a nervous breakdown, and/or listening to his DAT tapes or running away. He really wasn't good with handling stress.
However, this was *not* a normal situation.
Not that he wasn't holding the nervous breakdown in reserve. He just needed to check something first.
Shinji ran out of Nabiki's room like his ass was on fire and ran, wide-eyed, through the Tendo house, opening doors at random in a frantic search for the bathroom and proof that the worst had not, in fact, happened to him.
"AHHH! HAPPOUSAI!" he screamed, accidentally running into the diminutive pervert.
"Hmm?" Happousai said, perplexed. "Something the matter, Ranma?" His pupil seemed to be a bit tense. Certainly the scared wide eyes and hyperventilating weren't a normal occurrence. He looked around for the cat he assumed was causing the panic attack and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll get rid of the cat - as soon as you let me have a good cry in your bosom!" With that, he splashed Shinji and jumped at the newly transformed girl.
Shinji screamed like a little girl, somehow dodged Happousai's glomp, and ran even faster. A quick grab at her chest confirmed that, yes, he *did* have the curse.
The scream got louder and went up a few notes, and the faint tinkling sound of glasses breaking could be heard.
Shinji-chan managed to find the bathroom and took a good look at herself in the (now cracked) mirror. "NOOOOOOOO!" Shinji-chan wailed. "I turn into Nadia with cold water!" Indeed, she was a dead ringer for the other Gainax character if you discounted the paler skin tone. She backed away from the mirror, having finally shut up. "It's a dream. It's all a dream. I mustn't run away... I mustn't run away..." She backed into the door to the bath. Deciding she really wanted hot water, NOW, Shinji ripped open the door and took a big step forward before noticing that the bath was occupied.

Who had just stepped out to see what the hell Shinji was screaming about.
There was a brief pause as the two processed the situation.
"...run away?" Shinji-chan squeaked, before scrambling for her life on the wet floor.
"DIE, SHINJI!" Akane yelled, leaping out of the bathtub and punting the hapless girl through the roof. "Pervert!" she said, shaking her fist at the rapidly receding girl.

"Ohh," Shinji said, as she came to. "I had the weirdest dream... hey, my voice sounds weird..." She opened her eyes and saw...
