Ranma & Terratoo: A fuzzy image of Ukyo [Episode 151752]

The marionette named Akane stood in the background without a hint of personality to indicate any feelings she might have regarding this development.

Petgirls were a New Texas thing, though there were signs they were catching on. They came in several breeds, and several skill types. There were dog-girls, catgirls, tiger-girls, foxgirls, bunnygirls, cowgirls, mousegirls, pantheritas, and so on. Each species used for the crossing had specific traits that had been deemed desirable and appealing to a particular sort of customer. Domestics were the most common skill types - the need for those were considered the greatest amongst the male populace. Fighter types were next - troops that could supplement the marionette forces or partnered with police officers and various "first responders" where strength and speed could be of use.

The girl standing to the side of Smith before Ranma was one such. Two ears protruded from the top of her head and twitched constantly at the noises around her. Ranma could see her tail. She preened when she realized he was looking at her.

This was weird, but far weirder was something else. "How come she looks like Ukyo?"

"What's an 'Ukyo'?" asked the New Texas representitive.

"Well, except for the..." Ranma tried to indicate all the curves that were definitely not indicative of someone who could easily pass for a member of the male gender. "Ukyo's someone I knew."

"Ah, someone from Earth?" said Mister Smith. "Hmmm. I believe you of Japonesse have this concept of 'karma' - perhaps that is it."

"Uh huh, you can't escape 'karma' huh?" asked Ranma, considering it.

"Ninety-five Aleph," said Smith. "Would you state your skill-role for Mister Saotome?"

"Yes, sir," said the petgirl. "I am skilled in food preparation and shopping, I have some hand-to-hand combat training, but my main skills are in the repair and maintenance fields."

"She's a top of the line worker," explained Smith. "Her secondary fields were in Domestic and Combat, but she graduated in the top third of her class in Maintenance & Repair."

"Oh?" asked Ranma, wondering what that meant.

"I can operate and fix almost any sort of gadget in the home, including marionettes," proudly declared Ninety-five Aleph.
