"NOW!" called out one of the nurses, and Hotaru's perky little attitude became a moment of panic as the assembled women began leaping forward.
Instinct. Action before thought. Martial arts reflexes. Whatever the reason, Ranma grabbed the little girl before she could get trampled, dodged and leapt and twisted and ducked and sprinted.
"EEEEK!" managed Hotaru as she went through some rapid direction changes and acceleration before she could open her eyes again.
"Get on my back," Ranma instructed. "Hang on!"
Hotaru did so, wrapping arms and legs around him as tight as she could.
At which point Ranma got a lot faster and Hotaru would forever after compare any rollercoaster ride to what she was experiencing now, and those rides would come out the lesser.
"If he has such endurance and strength," speculated a doctor.
"That might well carry over to other activities," finished a nurse.
"In which case," added a security guard.
"Don't let him get away!" cried out half a dozen voices as the crowd surged off in pursuit.
"Old one-two Genma," said one of his wives sadly.
"You'd think he'd fixed that problem," said another of Genma's wives.
"Apparently it wasn't a priority," said a third wife.
"Ah, but what a manly son I have," proudly proclaimed Nodoka as she watched the events on the video monitor.
"Hotaru seems a bit young," said Doctor Mizuno, who had been quietly hoping Ami would have done better. "What do we have on her genetics?"
A nurse tore herself away from private fantasies involving pigtailed teenagers and brought up a file on the holocomp. "Ah. Professor Soichiro Tomoe. Has several wives who are all well regarded academically, if a bit prone to sadomasochism. Following the death of Hotaru's mother, he's been throwing himself into work in hyperdrive technologies."
"I have data on Genma Saotome's request," said another nurse. "I've located this 'Tendo' family and Soun Tendo had four wives. From each wife he has three daughters. First wife deceased - apparently during loveplay. He's been largely impotent since then."
"Tragic," said Doctor Mizuno, completely sincere. Such mental scarring often affected the children and entire house.
"The first wife's children's names are Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane," said the nurse. "It looks like-"
