Surviving was a crucial part of the Anything Goes style. In many ways it was a founding principle.
Slowly Ranma typed out a request for medical assistance. This was a bit beyond pressure points and the like, so nothing like Doctor Tofu or Cologne.
Options for medical treatment of Ranma Saotome, capable of safe removal of malignant growth.
1 - Awaken physicians capable of treatment.
2 - Utilize automed unit in main tower to repair organic unit without requiring the awakening/activation of sleepers.
3 - Enhance existing sleepers in Dome #4 to skills necessary for procedures.
Dome #2 - Three individuals currently capable of locating and removing area, seven support units currently capable of assisting.
Dome #3 - One individual upgradeable to necessary skills with minimal time. Two support units.
Use of automed unit would allow multiple problems to be addressed, and organic unit has sufficient unaltered DNA/RNA to make this course feasible. Recommended
Running time - three days. Skills would be unpracticed and any unforeseen complications may be outside ability of sleeper to adapt to within time constraints.
Ranma puzzled over this for awhile before he figured out what they meant, mainly by engaging a Help function.
#1 meant waking someone up who MIGHT be able to get the little nasty outta him.
#2 meant getting to a facility that would automatically be able to do the job, but there wouldn't actually be a live person getting involved outside himself.
#3 was the one he least understood at first, but after a few minutes had him sagging back in the chair and shaken by the enormity of it.
The "sleepers" with their mechanical bodies could be altered or enhanced. Akane could have her long hair back, for example, or could end up with red hair or become a blue-eyed blonde. She could become even more tomboyish or have a better figure than Shampoo. It wasn't instant, apparently these nanothingies weren't magic.
Likewise he could change things about their minds or memories. Fix Shampoo and Mousse up? Make it so Ryoga didn't blame him for everything in his life? Make it so that Tatewaki Kuno knew that his "pigtailed girl" was actually an unwanted curse of the "sorcerer Saotome"? Give Akane the mad cooking skills of a five star chef? Have the Old Lech develop a conscience?
He could do that. All he had to do was accept that he was the "backup operator" of this complex and give it an A or R or F. Abort Retry or Fail. One option to get these machines to continue on their merry way.
Of course, since the minds and bodies were stored seperately until he awoke one - he could also screw things up. He could put Ryoga's mind in Nabiki's body or something.
He put that off though. First thing to do was remove the death sentence hanging over his head or else find out what happened to the old operator. That decided, Ranma further decided to:
