Genma groaned. He was still in that stupid bed. Now, while he was known to appreciate nice lodgings, hospital beds weren’t his idea of ‘nice lodgings’. Aside from the fact that the food was terrible, he was unable to move off the bed ever since his leg had been bitten by that black wolf.
He moved his head back and grunted in pain as he hit the bedpost. Okay, so that was the end of Plan ‘Use wolves to make son stronger’, also called Okami-Ken. How was he supposed to know the boy had already noticed that the wolves he had chosen were too ferocious? At least he didn’t have to try multiple times. Unfortunately, he had lost the use of his left leg for now.
Grunting again, Genma moved his body towards the other edge of the bed, and wiped off the sweat off his head. Why was he sweating anyway? The room wasn’t hot by any means, and the doctors had guaranteed he didn’t have any sort of illness from the bite. While he didn’t really like doctors, as that was one of his parent’s choices for his profession (something he didn’t really enjoy thinking about, besides, he was too big for the job anyway), there were moments, like now, where he was forced to had to admit that they were right.
Still, that didn’t make things any easier.

Outside the room, Ranma was sleeping, exhausted from the recent happenings. His father had been looking for wolves to help in training; during that time, a large, black wolf jumped onto him, and bit him on his left leg as he fell. Then Ranma had had to carry his father until the nearest hospital. At least they hadn’t gone much far from the city.
Still, it had been quite the workout, and he had fallen asleep soon after Genma was put on a bed and examined. The doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with him, however, and so Ranma slept reassured that his father would be okay.
So, the fact that he was sleeping was the reason as to why Ranma didn’t see the tall man in a coat come in, and enter Genma’s room. He took a look at the fat man, and sighed. “Well… do you want any help?”
