"'Bye, Ranma," Yuka told him brightly as he passed. "See you tomorrow."
"See ya then," Ranma replied with a nod.
"You will?"
"Ya go ta the same class I do. 'Course I'd see ya. 'Sides, there ain't any reason not ta."
"I'll look forward to it."
Sayuri stepped towards them with a smile on her face. "We all will."
"'All'?" he parroted.
"Us girls. We'll be waiting to see you again."
"I expected as much...."
"That's good then. We'll be waiting for you."
"In the mean time, he's going home," Akane growled as she came up to the trio, grabbing her step-uncle's arm. "Come on. Mom will be expecting us back."
"Oh, right...." he trailed off. "'Bye, guys."
"See you later, Ranma," both girls replied.
"I'll see you too," Akane muttered as she dragged him all the way out the gates, and down the block, much to her friends' amusement.
"Akane!" called out a feminine voice. "Hold up."
"What?! Oh. Hi, Nabiki...."
"Hello sister dear," the elder Tendo girl replied. "I don't know about you, but I thought that I might walk home with you. We do live in the same place, after all."

"Me too."
"You do?"
Nabiki gave her a wry grin. "It's all over the school. Apparently, he's proving to be quite the popular guy, among the girls, at least."
"Just great...."
"Ain't that good?" Ranma asked. "I mean, they aren't mad at me, or anythin'."
"That's true, and trust us. They like you."
"Kinda funny though."
"How so?"
He shrugged. "I've never had friends who were girls before."
"Is that so?"
"Yup. It never seemed ta really happen. Why?"
"Nothing, really," the elder girl told him as she patted his shoulder. "Shall we?"
"Of course," Akane agreed, giving the pigtailed boy a measuring look.
Thoroughly confused, Ranma followed the two Tendos, and wondered what it was that they weren't saying, while:
