Shazam! : The Bureaucracy & The Bastich [Episode 154238]

by Kestral

" OoooooooooOHHHHHHHHHH," called out Genma, staggering out to beseech the government workers. "I need something for my poor stomach!"

clik-clik came out a handgun. "(A foreigner?! You're helping spies now?)" asked the junior.

"(Does he really look intelligent enough to be a spy?)" asked Cologne drily. "(Just some would-be tourist looking for martial arts secrets who ate something he shouldn't have.)"

"I'm dying here," tried Genma, looking as piteous as he could.

"(You have a point,)" admitted the Elder. "(This one looks like he couldn't spell 'espionage' much less perform it.)"

The junior looked between his superior and the ungainly looking man doubled over and making clawing gestures. "(Sir?)"

"(I suppose we ought to take him in and question him anyway,)" said the Elder with a sigh.

PFRRRRRRRRRBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT came the sound of further digestive mayhem.

Cologne fell off her staff, gagging. She was handling it better than the two Chinese officials, and Shampoo had been downwind and was even worse off.

"Hmmmm," hmmmmed Genma. Maybe this was a new martial arts manuever. What to call it though? What was a little discomfort to that?

Shampoo slowly dragged herself out of the greenish-brown cloud, pale and looking pretty darn nauseous.

The two officials eventually recovered, and predictably grew angry about this "assault".

"(We'll just take this foreign spy in for questioning,)" said the Elder.

"(We'll also take that girl,)" indicated the Junior. "(I'll personally handle her interrogation.)"

Cologne was about to say something when Shampoo held up a restraining hand. She knew as well as her great-grandmother that these two would be missed and if their trail ended in the village...

"(I'll go, this will be over shortly,)" said Shampoo, looking still fairly nauseous.

"Oh, the agony," exclaimed Genma. "Please, you have to have something for this."

Watching the old truck drive off with his father and Shampoo shackled in the back, Ranma was again reminded that things were decidedly different.

"Shampoo will probably escape and not come back," said Cologne. "If they can't find any trace of her here, they'll give up on her."

Ranma nodded and shouldered his pack, getting ready to leave his hiding place.

"So where are you going?" asked Cologne.

"I'm getting Pop back," said Ranma.

"How can you possibly stand against the Chinese Army?" asked Cologne.

"First off, I'm not staying in China," said Ranma. "Second - I have my means."

"I can't let you go," said Cologne, sounding regretful. "You'll simply throw your life away trying to get your father out and if you're captured instead - you'd eventually tell them how we hid you. I'm sorry- but that would further endanger my village."

"I'm not going to be caught," said Ranma with a smile. THIS ought to catch the Old Ghoul off guard. Heh.
