Sadly, that had been almost a thousand years ago, and what had started out great had eventually turned into yet another bad fling with a creep too obsessed with his own ways to make the relationship work out.
It wasn't fair! All she ever wanted was the chance to meet ONE decent guy, maybe even raise a family. It is not like there was much else to do right now while waiting for the appointed time & place to arrive. I mean, sure, she could sit at home, watching time go by, and be bored out of her skull. But she still got lonely, and some company would make things go much easier.
Still, it had been fortunate then that she had gotten enough assistance from the oppressed locals to lock him away for all eternity. But it seemed that this idea, a lot like most of her previous ones involving relationships, always ended up poorly for her.
So now here she was,
