As Nabiki felt the changes finish, she slowly began to acquire more of her old personality back.
She pulled away from Ranma and tried to find a flippant, sarcastic thing to say to him to lay the blame off of her for a moment. Unfortunately, she neither could find an appropriate such remark, nor did she truly have a desire to blame Ranma.
In fact, she felt a strong desire FOR Ranma...and his blood...and a desire to make him happy.
"Well," Nabiki said. "I can't blame you for this, all my fault and my big mouth this time. But what do we do now, Ranma?"
"Uhhh..." Ranma said. "Are you sure you're okay, Nabiki."
"I'm feeling a little thirsty," Nabiki admitted. "Maybe we should talk to Kasumi."

Meanwhile gears were rolling behind the scenes.
A girl named Inaho, made immortal forty years ago by a magical artifact, felt a distant and familiar shift in the dragon lines (she'd taken up geomancy and a host of other disciplines in the past 40 years). Could it be that Mosqui and the elementals FINALLY found away back from the moon...was her loneliness ended at last?
She stood up and debated between going after that shift and waiting to see if Mosqui would seek her here.

Meanwhile, some of the remaining pure-blood vampires also felt the sudden magical shift, and scrying pointed to a new human-vampire hybrid like the dangerous Mosquiton that they had finally been rid of forty years before...
"Well she still lives here, master, but I think Momma Inaho went on a trip."
