Magic Prince Ranma: Cherry Blossoms and sworn retainers. [Episode 15459]

In another world, someone might have noted the resemblence to Sakura Shinguichi. Here though, she was and had always been Sakura of Ranguard. Samurai, Heir to the Cherry Blossom School Of Kenjutsu, and personal retainer to Prince Ranma.

Her family had been of a distant land where her mother had fallen in love with an elf, and had quietly left rather than find herself in a rather poor situation involving a much older banker who had somehow won a game of cards that had involved the ancestral home.

They had ended up in Ranguard and Sakura's father had seen a way to provide for his daughter and immediately set his family up. He had sworn Sakura to be Ranma's personal retainer in return for enough land to begin the school of martial arts that Sakura's mother ran and for his own experimental alchemy lab.

Due to the half-elven slower aging, Sakura had always been kind of a "big sister" to Ranma, though Ranma was catching up and would probably begin passing Sakura around the time he turned twenty. So there was a relationship there, but more familial than romantic. That might change in the future, but for now it was sufficient. Though there was the whole retainer thing just under the surface, and Sakura took those duties very seriously.

With a father who was a dark haired moon-elf, and a mother who was Kara-turan, Sakura would have looked a little exotic in a place less strange than Rangard. As it was she was just very attractive.

Sakura didn't say how she knew, and it really wasn't necessary as Ranma looked past Sakura and determined that she had likely been helped by:
