Unfortunately, the nobility in question was from another planet, which was bad enough. That meant that Usagi was from another world, and wasn't the native human that she was supposed to be. However, the planet in question was Jurai, and that meant that she was going to have all the issues that would come from that. There was the fact that that particular empire had a vested interest in the planet, and that could only lead to all sorts of issues coming up.
Of course, this wasn't exactly what she wanted to have to deal with, and she had to look in to see just how it was.
Jurai was a world full of life, and a great deal of it was plant based. As a good deal of their technology had to do with their Trees, that was something that they had always been aware of. But they were not simply users, as they could create places of great beauty that any onlooker would be impressed by.
The gardens were a place where Princess Usagi felt rather comfortable in. She wasn't quite sure why that was, but it was not something that she questioned. Being around such a profusion of life made her happy, and she enjoyed the calm vibrancy of the place. Even though she knew that it wasn't exactly something that she was supposed to do, she leaned down and smelled the flowers.
That was why she didn't notice the sound of her head attendant coming up to her. "Princess, what are you doing?"
"Huh? Oh, hi.... I was just taking a moment to...." Usagi began.
"Smell the flowers."
"Oh? If you knew what I was doing, why did you ask?"
"I wasn't talking about your enjoyment of the flowers. That is a fine pastime for a lady of your stature. What I meant was that you are not paying attention to your studies," the woman answered primly. "You have responsibilities, and you're not giving them their proper due."
"I know.... It's just.... They're so dull...."
"That doesn't matter. You have your duty, and even for those who do not take up office, there are certain things that come from being a member of the Royal Family. Besides, there are certain things that you must take care to train in. You are one of the most talent individuals we've seen in certain areas."
Usagi bowed her head. "Do I have to go through all that boring stuff?"
"Yes, you do."
"Ugh...."
"Come along now. You do have to take your instruction now."
"Alright...." the Princess answered, and trailed sullenly after her.
Setsuna sighed, and noted that whatever the timeline was like, Usagi was still a bad student. Oddly enough, that was a comfort, considering the fact that so much had changed from what it had been like. With at least one thing staying the same, there was an anchor to hold on to, even if the thing that she was holding on to was disappointing.
