Akane frowned, not liking this. "I just want to make sure this isn't going to blow up if the going gets too rough. You have any idea what the stabilizers are like on my ship?" Actually Akane didn't either but that was besides the point.
"You mean you really don't know?" The Devaronian made a sound that might have been amusement. "Such things should not be discussed openly even here Miss Tenso. We shall speak while loading. Have you found a co-pilot yet?"
"No," admitted Akane. "It's not exactly as if I have a large budget to work with."
"I advise you to," the Devaronian said bluntly. "Your freighter has two basic laser turrets and room for a droid. Maybe you can get a good deal out of the Jawas for a rebuilt droid and use it as your co-pilot. That still leaves you needing a gunner."
"I can handle it," assured Akane, belatedly remembering what kind of slime she was dealing with. Essentially space Yakuza. Nabiki's advice had been - never ever ever show a sign of weakness.
Akane nodded and knocked back the rest of her drink. "Let's get started then."
