“But, Pops ain’t going to be up for traveling any time soon,” Ranma pointed out, having been a bit shocked that four holy men had worked him over so well. ‘Pops sure was wrong about religious guys being weak. I wonder if those temples would still let me learn some of their stuff without Pops around to drag me off?’
“Yeah, but it’s not like he contributes anything but trouble,” Haruka snickered.
“Unkind, but true,” Rei agree, while forming small balls of fire in her hand, working on manipulating their shape.
“We can always come back for him later,” Hotaru suggested, from her place in front of Ranma as he carefully groomed her wings.
“Much later,” Michiru smirked as she watched Hotaru gain a blissful smile when Ranma worked on the lower edge of her left wing.
“I… I like having you here,” Ami said a bit timidly. “I don’t have any… many friends.”
“Their loss, you’re a great girl,” Minako said, giving a blushing Ami a hug and then hugging their own Ami, just to be fair.
“I think I speak for everyone when I say, you’re welcome to join the harem when you’re older, but for now we’ll have to leave for all our protections. We simply draw too much attention and present too big a target. When we’re older and stronger we’ll be able to settle down in one place, but for now we’ll have to keep moving,” the nerdette explained.
“We can probably sneak in and visit occasionally, but for the next couple of years you’ll just have to settle for letters and postcards until the heat dies down,” Princess Setsuna promised.
“OK, everyone, time to get this show in the woad,” Minako said excitedly, as she started passing out fedoras and trench coats.
Everyone slipped on their ‘disguises’ and out the door, each pausing to give Ami a hug before leaving.
The government agents keeping watch on them would later claim that one of the group had to have some sort of ability to project a SEP field, since their manner of dress should have attracted more attention than their normal mode of dress and yet they easily slipped out.

Pluto yawned and scratched herself, as she took up position in front of the Gates of Time. Normally she’d check the gates once a week and relied on the alarms to notify her of any temporal incursions, but something had been nibbling at the edge of her senses. It was almost like an incursion, but something was off.
Gazing into the gates at the future of the current timeline her eyes slowly widened until they took up nearly half her face.
Crystal Tokyo was gone, but that really wasn’t a concern, as there seemed to be a plethora of crystal cities throughout the entire solar system. Hell, there was practically a surplus of them! Everywhere she looked there were cities of crystal, filled with smiling faces.
A quick glance at the royal palace showed an exhausted Mamoru, but everyone else seemed fine. Shrugging it off as unimportant she quickly started focusing in on what she could do to ensure THIS future.
