Mihoshi had granted the wish, giving Ranma the sort of vast wealth that Ayeka possessed with the supergenius of Wasshu.
Problem #1: Ranma had to go to outerspace just to visit the sort of ATM where he could withdraw that sort of funding.
Which is why Ranma had taken three days to build a transgalactic transmat device, put some affairs in order, and engage in some intense shopping.
At which point a spaceship managed to land in the Tendo backyard, incidently turning the fabled Tendo Dojo into a rather large heap of splintered wood.
"AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" was Soun's predictable if heartfelt summation of this event.
"Oh my, guests," said Kasumi as if aliens from outer space landing in the backyard were mildly surprising and certainly nothing terribly alarming.

Happosai, being even better at such things, was relaxing on top of a train speeding towards Southern Japan.
Eventually the dust settled and gave everyone (the landing of a spaceship drawing practically everyone) their first good look at the spaceship. (Nabiki got pictures immediately and was already getting ahold of "I saw the alien spaceship" souveneirs to start selling at a tidy profit.)
"Oh my," said Akane as Kasumi was busy preparing tea and snacks on the assumption that visitors from at least a few hundred billion miles away might want refreshments. "It's - "
