Nabiki stared. She picked a manga and began comparing. Yes, it was him.
The man who had appeared in Ranma's place had had many names and aliases during his fictional (at least until now) life. He was born Casval Lem Daikun then lived in hiding as Edouard Maas until he took yet another identity to infiltrate the nation of his father's killers. It was with the last one he became (in)famous in the UC Gundam world:
Char Aznable, the 'Red Comet', the Zeon Duchy's most well-known mobile suit ace pilot and a powerful Newtype to boot.
Nabiki tried to remember as much details about the character as possible. He had joined Zeon to get revenge on the Zabis. Once it was done, he went good guy during Zeta Gundam. He disappeared at the end only to resurface years later...
Oh dear, Oh my... the Char's Counterattack movie! He had taken control of Neo-Zeon and was hurling asteroids at Earth to start a nuclear winter, part of his plan to force earthnoids to go to space or die, not cool.
Char was looking in his late twenties and wore a Neo-Zeon red uniform so it was the movie version! Oh damn...

Char blinked, surprised to find himself alive. His last memories were of the battle around the Axis. Amuro had defeated him and embedded his escape pod in the asteroid as it was falling toward Earth. After came the desperate tries of his rival and others to stop it, the green, warm light coming from both their psychoframes and then...
Char walked to the window and took a look outside. A natural blue sky, a few clouds and the outline moon were visible in the afternoon's light. No doubt about it, he was back on Earth. Federation territory, not his favorite place in the Solar System.
"How strange..." he commented to no one in particular. That's when he finally noticed Nabiki "Hello, miss. Perhaps you could answer some of my questions?"
Nabiki hesitantly returned the blonde man's smile. She wasn't sure that the lolicon rumors of the movie were true or false "Er... Yes, perhaps..." She kept throwing nervous looks at Char's belt, especially the holstered handgun in there.
*CRASH!*
"What was that?" asked Nabiki. The answers quickly came as voices from the outside made themselves heard:
"WAAAH! MY DOJO!!!"
"Foolish boy! How are you going to take over the dojo if you keep destroying it with that red monstruosity!"
"Oh my, Ranma-kun should really park his nice mobile suit better!"
"AH! So it's that pervert's fault! I'll show him!"
"Could you wait a few hours, Akane? I would like him to take me to the market later"
"KASUMI!?!"
Char and Nabiki hazarded a glance. Indeed, the Tendo dojo was in shambles, crushed under the MSN-04 Sazabi's weight. To Char's surprise, his mobile suit was looking brand new and fully loaded. The last he knew, it had been destroyed in combat against Amuro's Nu Gundam.
"Curiouser and curiouser..."
