After many tense moments in the bath, mainly because of Kasumi's questing fingers, Akane having a very embarrassing moment while tied up and suspended, and Ranma's increasing wariness, -
"Sir, can you sign for a delivery?"
Ranma sighed a deep sigh. "Yeah, why not."
The deliverygirl looked around at the three slavegirls, one of whom was shibari tied and hanging from a treebranch, and came to the obvious conclusion. "Whoa. I can tell you're busy. Just be a moment."
Ranma signed the clipboard, handed it back, and noticed where the girl was staring. He quickly covered himself.
"Yup, can see you're really really busy," said the delivery girl, grinning for some reason. "I'll just leave the boxes of clothing over here."
"Clothes?!" came from three girls.
"Clothes?" asked Kuno, his mind wandering off. "Perhaps..." Images of Akane wearing a frilly maid's outfit, a formal kimono, summer yukata, Playboy bunny costume, leather collar, harem dancer outfit, swimsuits, etc. briefly passed across his mind's eye. "Good scribe, might I borrow your writing implements?" Once he won he'd have to arrange such packaging for his most prized possession.
Indeed, some things remained a constant. Such as young girls getting enthusiastic about the possibility of new clothing.
In this case, Ranma was also enthusiastic. If they were wearing more, he'd feel a lot less nervous about this. Right?
Nabiki tore into the first box and stopped immediately. "Playboy bunny costumes?"
Kasumi held up a harem dancer outfit from the second box. "Oh my, how cute."
Akane twisted in the breeze. "Hey. Can someone untie me now?"
"Chains?" asked Nabiki as she opened the third box. "Collar? Cuffs? Just think Akane, if Kuno had gotten there before Ranma this might be what you would be wearing tonight."
"Don't even joke about that," said Akane, recoiling. This started her rotating again. "Oh crap. Not again."
"Ah, wafuku," said Kasumi.
"Traditional Japanese clothes?" asked Nabiki, looking herself. "A bit heavy and hard to care for. We might have to sell those. Hmmm. Looks expensive."
"I could wear that," said Akane, twisting in the breeze still. "IF someone would come over here and untie me. HINT HINT."
"Yukata - that's better," said Ranma, peering over Nabiki's shoulder and observing. "Those can be packed up a little tighter than the formal stuff."
"Maid outfits? With high heels," said Kasumi as she opened another box. "A little impractical."
"I dunno," said Nabiki, holding one up to herself. "I don't think it's my style, but I could probably make it look good."
"Swimsuits, and... YES," said Ranma, spotting something in the last box. "THAT's something we needed."
"Western wear?" asked Nabiki. "Wouldn't have thought it of Kuno-baby."
"What about him?" asked Akane.
"These are all the outfits he threw in on my suggestion, clothing he was planning on getting YOU to wear if Kuno won that little wager," said Nabiki. "I wouldn't have thought that Kuno would have you wear something like this. This is actually normal clothing."
"Why are the buttons replaced with velcro patches?" asked Kasumi.
"Ah," said Nabiki. "That explains it."
Kasumi looked over the clothing. "I'll need some sewing supplies to replace the buttons."
"Speaking of Kuno-baby," said Nabiki. "There's a fourth set of outfits included. I wonder when we'll be getting our new sister?"
"She's in the saturation phase now," said a foreman, looking over the aristocratic young woman suspended in the tank. Her head was mainly concealed with the airmask and the programming helmet. The rest of her had curled nearly into a fetal position.
"She's still got a few hours," said Jiro. "Why don't you two get some coffee or something. I'll monitor.
