An alarm clock began ringing.
Not exactly a monumentous event, but Setsuna Meiou, i.e. Sailor Pluto, Guardian of the Gates of Time, rarely needed one. So it took the green-haired senshi a few moments to realize why she had set that alarm.
Oh yes! Today was the day! The first Temporal Nexus that could determine Crystal Tokyo!
Setsuna smiled to herself. Although her fellow senshi did not know it, Crystal Tokyo was a very sore subject for her. The others might believe that she had some drive to create Crystal Tokyo as a utopia, to recreate the Silver Millennium. Or maybe that it was under orders from Queen Serenity that her Kingdom rise again.
None of which could be further from the truth. In fact, until a couple years ago, Setsuna would have laughed at the idea of Crystal Tokyo coming about. It was merely one of many different futures, and a highly unlikely one at that.
But then the Black Moon Family managed to bypass the gates. They went from Crystal Tokyo to the present, inserting themselves into history. To prevent a Paradox, Setsuna now needed to make sure that history played out. Which meant making sure Crystal Tokyo happened. Including the thousand years of ice, the exile of dissidents, and more.
It had taken her a lot of time and effort to make that a reality, but everything was right on track for Crystal Tokyo. It would happen. But today was special... today would come an event that would influence not the existence of Crystal Tokyo, but the details of it.

And she'd seen Crystal Tokyos which were just a small part of an alliance that spanned several solar systems, where each of the senshi had an immortal life partner, and Serenity was more of a figurehead than an actual ruler.
In fact, as long as nothing happened that risked a paradox, Crystal Tokyo could have infinite variety.
And now Setsuna could begin the process of making the Crystal Tokyo she preferred...
