Still hidden in the wall closet, Hotaru's eyes were wide and her mouth had formed a silent little "O" as she watched.
Had anyone been familiar with the original pre-Setsuna Ranma, they would have recognized him as little bit more buff and muscular. Plus having the long furry tail and the cat ears. Plus being blonde.
While stretching, his clothes began ripping apart. Ranma grabbed some of the shreds and tugged, revealing large amounts of skin.
Hotaru wondered why it was getting so hot.
"So I'm a catboy now," said Ranma, thinking the term had an odd sound to it.
"Trust me, it could be worse," said the voice from the light. "I was considering getting you the Sword Of Omens among other things."
Ranma considered the rifle again. "Hmmm. Any guy gets shot, they turn into a catboy. Completely healthy, and what else?"
"Else?" asked the voice from the light, sounding amused.
"Come on, you're setting things up, I've got a stable mana stream here," said Ranma, ears flat back. "I know just from our little interaction there's more."
"Well," said the still amused voice from the light, "it's just that-"
