Coupled Union - Childhood Sweethearts: School Mates [Episode 158416]

by Kender

Looking down at the lump that was his father, Ranma found that he actually had to say that his old man had done something right, not that the pain in the backside had meant to. But if he hadn't decided to go in the direction that he'd planned on, he would have never met the girl that would become his wife again. That alone made it worth following through on that plan, and, for once, it had been a big benefit to him.

Of course, all his father had cared about was the fact that he would be sending his son to places where he could get all sorts of experience. For some reason, he associated that with all boys' schools, and had been obsessed with the idea of sending him to one. Since being around other guys didn't seem to be a problem, he didn't exactly mind it. And it was easy to handle... until it turned out that this was the same place that his old buddy Ukyo had been attending.

Then life got to be really good. Sure, she couldn't dress prettily when they were at school, but that didn't matter to him. Once he recognized her shape, he was able to see it no matter if she was wearing a blouse and skirt, or a boy's uniform. Actually, there were some benefits to seeing her in tight fitting pants, but he shied away from really fantasizing about it, since that made him feel naughty and guilty. But it was a really opportunity, since they could spend so much time together.

Mornings would see them walking to class together, with her providing him some extra breakfast. They could attend class together, and play sports on the same gym class teams. Lunch was always spent together in secluded spots, and they had a tendency to sneak off to be alone for stolen moments. Walking home together after class was great, and even if his father had kept him busy with training after that, they'd already spent the day somewhat together.

It even seemed that no one really noticed that they were a couple. A lot of people tended to think of them as a pair of best friends, which they actually were, in addition to the fact that they were romantically linked. Everyone seemed to be liking the fact that they were buddies, or just accepted them for who they were.

Well, there was that one person who was a problem. He sure as hell could have done without Tsubasa, what with the crossdresser's obsession with Ranma's wife. Sure, he might not have known that she was married, but it was obvious that she didn't like him all that much. Besides, the guy was fairly creepy, what with him constantly popping up in odd places and disguises. If nothing else, he thought the guy had a screw loose somewhere.

Seeing his father groan, he crossed his arms and scowled. "Are ya gonna get up or what, Pop?"

"Stupid boy!" Genma barked, jumping to his feet. "You just hit me, and you wonder why I would take time to get up?!"

"'A martial artist must be ready for any hardship, and tough enough ta take it'. Now, who said that...."

"Now, listen here...."

"Oh, that's right. It was /you/."

The Saotome patriarch glared at his son. "I know what I said!"

"Then why don't ya follow it? Or is it just too easy ta lay around?"

"I do a lot of work!"

"That's news ta me. But here's your chance. Show me."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm not supposed ta be the one who knows where your old friend's house is."

"Oh, that's right! I have more important things to do than to deal with your childishness."

Snorting quietly, the pigtailed boy shook his head, and let his old man lead them back onto the path to the Tendo Dojo, where he wanted to go anyway. So, it was easier to let him be in front, and follow in his wake, while:
