Seeing an unconscious Nina Williams being carried by, she smiled and looked over at one of her personal copies. "How are we doing on procurement?"
"It is proceeding as expected, Mistress," Quistis-2 answered.
"Oh, then we're sending out a team to that 'Dead Or Alive' world?"
"They already went, and they're working to gain the ninja sisters, according to the last communication."
"Oh. Should be interesting."
"Well, they're planning on using magic."
"Ah, very good," Ecchi said with an approving nod. "This should do me well. And the other teams are out too?"
"Yes, Mistress."
"Excellent."
There were all sorts of sounds that one could hear in hallways, but they usually didn't come alone, and suddenly. Susan Ivanova was too experienced to think that such things could happen on a moment's notice, and too cynical to believe in coincidences. But she wasn't about to run, as that would make it easier for anything to happen, and it might not be anything anyway. So, rather than run from what could likely be nothing more than a loose panel falling down, she turned to look at what it was.
And wound up looking straight into the face of a busty purple haired girl just before she felt the girl punch her, and the darkness of unconsciousness fell onto her.
The Spells 'R Us Wizard was not a stupid man, by any means. In fact, he was actually quite intelligent, as he'd demonstrated many times before. One simply could not out think anyone on a moment's notice simply by having really good luck. He might have been helpful, ambivalent, or causing trouble, but he was never dumb.
Knowing that, he had to wonder how stupid his former apprentice had really thought he was. With all the echoes of inter-dimensional travel, someone would have to be metaphysically blind and delusional to not take notice of it. Obviously, Ecchi had not learned any sort of restraint, as it was clear that she'd gone and stormed all over the multiverse.
And she was doing it all to get back at him. It just seemed to be a terribly foolish way of going about it, but then, his ex-pupil had not exactly been the smoothest of workers. Her activities could be rather amusing, but they did cause a lot of pointless problems, and were part of a plot to remove him from his store.
He didn't like that idea too much.
Gazing at what was going on through a magic television, he stroked his chin and thought about what he should do, while:
