She skated alongside vehicles stopped at a traffic light, strafing the vehicles. A policeman decided to stop her, but was quickly stopped himself after a quick shot from her "little Yvette" made some changes.
By the time the policecatgirl had come to terms with the shock, of course, Azusa Shiratori was gone.
Bastet was not pleased. Tail lashing and in her lionesque variant, she entered the halls of Heliopolis. "Okay, who's been screwing with this? I put the gun in there for Uranus to find but who junked around with the safeties?"
"'Safeties'?" asked Thoth, looking up from his book.
"Only magic-using beings were supposed to be able to use it," said Bastet, glancing over the various deities here. "It was a safety feature so that people off the street couldn't do what that twit is doing now. Someone disabled that protection."
"That would cut down on the users," admitted Thoth. "I thought we'd all agreed not to mess with that world when you've just gotten your own foothold established."
"That was the agreement," mused Bastet. She couldn't picture Thoth doing this. Ra? Hardly. Isis? Not at all likely. Osiris? Get real. One of those Greeks that had been hanging around? No, they didn't have access to the area that her cleric had managed to punch through to. Who among the surviving of Heliopolis could have done this?
There was something else altered too. Instead of becoming happy little catgirls, they were mainly becoming upset little catgirls. The whole 'loyalty to Ranma' thing wasn't showing. It might still be active, but it hadn't shown up yet.
So who could have done it? Bastet eyed the assembled group, trying to figure out who was the culprit.
Akane got ready for it. "I hate boys. Hate boys. Hate boys. Hate boys. Hate boys!"
Except her running to school was slowed down by the lack of a crowd. Where were they?
What she didn't know yet was that the crowd of hentai boys had been in front. Sayuri had been hit with a bolt that had gotten through the pack, and then Azusa had shot Yuka and a few others before going on to her next target.
So there Akane was, going into a strangely empty classroom, except that a lot of her friends and fellow students seemed to be...
"WHAT?!" screamed Akane as she took in the changes.
Kasumi Tendo heard the rushing sounds of what seemed to be a lot of people approaching at a run, and turned to see what was going on.
Only a few yards from the store where she was going to get her father his cigarettes, she saw a girl about Akane's age skating along at high speeds with some sort of toy gun that -

"Oh my," said Kasumi, her ears flicking around and tail sticking out straight behind her. This sort of thing seemed most improper.
Well, now she had to wait for the crowd to pass by. Maybe she ought to pick up some more fish.
"Yum, fishies."
The Senshi looked at Ranma. Ranma looked back at the Senshi.
"It wasn't me!" declared Ranma. "Someone blew open the door to my lab, destroyed my computer, but left the catboy rifle there."
"It's possible they copied designs off of your computer, then destroyed it to cover the evidence," suggested Ami.
"Ranma spent the night here after our meeting," said Rei. "I've checked and he's absolutely not possessed, a yoma, or a gatanthrope."
"A whosey-whatsy?" asked Usagi.
"A were-cat," explained Rei.
"Where cat?" asked Usagi.
"Nevermind, Meatball Head," growled Rei.
"Rei you're so mean," complained Usagi.
"He's not the feline equivelant of a werewolf, going to bite one of us and turn the poor victim into his werecat mate," explained Ami.
"How disappointing," said Minako.
"Tell me about it," mumbled Hotaru, Ami, and Makoto.
Various individuals blinked but they could not possibly have heard that.
"Besides, my gun only turns boys into catboys," said Ranma. "It has no effect on girls. The only thing that might work that way is that defense field Bastet mentioned."
"How do we even know that exists?" asked Minako, a gleam in her eye. That she remembered what Setsuna had said about her loveless future - she didn't remember that at all. Thought never crossed her mind about it. Nope. Absolutely not interested in trying to change that future.
Ami remembered that little talk too. So did Hotaru. And Makoto. And Rei.
