"You've got some explaining to do alright, Ran-chan," Ukyou concurred.
"And who is this newest supposed rival to my perfection?" Kodachi demanded.
"She flatter than kitchen destroyer," Shampoo commented.
There was a low growl and then.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING FLAT!!!"
Surprisingly enough Akane didn't say that.
Unsurprisingly, Lina did. The effect of Lina's small, young seeming form suddenly flaring up into almost a wolf-headed demon as she roared had knocked everyone nearby off their feet. Ranma counted himself lucky that he had been sitting down as Lina shrunk back down.
"Since you weren't paying attention," Lina said. "I'll have to repeat the three reasons I can't marry Ranma."
"Uhhh..." a dazed collection of martial artists said. Lina waited for them to come mostly to their senses before continuing.
A) I'm already married and cannot marry a second person.
B) I'm Ranma's great-great-great-grandmother.
"Airen's ancestor have child at thirteen?" Shampoo asked again, not having learned her lesson from the first remark.
"For your information," Lina said, gritting her teeth and working to hold in her anger. "I was about twelve hundred years old when I left this plane of existence."
"Shampoo sorry," Shampoo said contritely.
"It does bring us to reason number 3 as to why I can't marry Ranma," Lina said, sighing. There was silence for a long moment as everyone leaned forward to hear the end of this nearly unprecedented list. "I'M DEAD YOU IDIOTS!!!!"
And everybody was knocked off their feet again.
"Now that we got that settled," Lina said. "Leave! I have to train my jelly-fished brained grandson."
