Nobody but nobody, Setsuna Meiou brooded, could ever blame her for something like this.
On the good side...this particular part of the Multiverse was no longer in any danger of "Reality Collapse" in the foreseeable future. That was unmistakably a Good Thing.
But on the other hand...
Setsuna looked just one more time at the Time Gate control matrix, just to be one hundred percent sure.
...22%, more or less. Right.
That was the number of Timelines that existed Now, compared to Before, in this section of the Multiverse. And not one of them had been unchanged, as far as she could tell.
She'd once wanted to know, she recalled, what really happened when Reality wore too thin.
And now she had the answer.
The Multiverse solved the problem by--squishing together the Timelines. Fusing. Amaglating. Whatever.
Damn it, Multiverse, that was not a dare. She could have existed long and happily without seeing all that firsthand, darnit.
And now all those pesky Gaps in the fabric of Reality were - well, not gone, but vastly reduced. Which was good.
It really was.
Setsuna sighed.
This section of the Multiverse was still here. She was still here.
And so was the Solar System that she loved and belonged to...
Well. ...Sort of.
...What the hell, Multiverse.
Setsuna leaned against the interface. And cried.
Hmmm...So almost all the major future-paths she could scan did lead to Crystal Tokyo, also known as the Neo Silver Millenium.
Or at least some version of it, anyhow.
That was a... relief, she supposed. Something did seem to be going right, whatever "right" was. It did make her feel better, anyway.
Though she did notice that there seemed to be even more variations "possible CTs" then she remembered from Before. Well, variety was the spice of life, and all that.
And...Hmmm. That one was...interesting. And so was that one...
Though that one and that one, she didn't like at all.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.
Setsuna leaned back, and slowly sipped her ceylon tea.
This whole situation actually had a lot of potential...didn't it?
And the Timeline she is looking at is...
