It was around two in the afternoon when a young man dressed in yellow and blue departed his home to head in to work. Normally, he would be leaving his home in the early evening but due to her brother having an important doctor's appointment, King asked him to come in to Illusions early to help the normal crew set up for the day. Since he could use the extra pay to purchase additional feed for his duckling, Duck King agreed.
By the time he got to the bar's front door, he saw a large man in red and black sprawled on the bench beginning to stir. "Aw, man... you're still here?" He had been wary of having this man as a patron when he arrived late last evening but King said that as long as this Rugal Bernstein paid for his drinks and didn't cause trouble, he can stay. He briefly glanced at the piece of paper on the right and spoke again. "That reminds me... did you see who I was speaking to when I wrote up this piece of paper? Apparently, this is some sort of contract..."
"Not really. I was busy busting out the tunes for the folks to have a good time. What contract is that anyway?"
Rugal groaned again. "Hell if I know. My head hurts too much for me to read it clearly for the moment. Be a good boy and read it for me."
Duck King was about to ignore his request but as soon as he felt the power that lay dormant inside Rugal, he decided to check out the contract. Hangover or not, this guy was a powerful fighter who could probably give Terry Bogard a run for his money. He took the paper and read out loud. "I, Rugal Bernstein, do agree to engage my son, Adelheid Bernstein, to the lovely..."
