Mai closed her fist on the jade gem and let some of her ki and magic flow from her and into the stone. She sighed with resignation when a ghostly form appeared before her. Looking at the ghost of the former Dark General, Mai shook her head.
"Eeek. A ghost. Now that that's out of the way, who were you?" Mai said calmly.
Neflyte's ghost gave Mai an odd look. "I was once known as Neflyte. I served the Prince of Earth during the Silver Millennium until I was kidnapped by Beryl and brainwashed into serving her and helped to destroy the Moon Kingdom."
"Prince of Earth? I wonder if the Throne of the Spirit World might be related to this Silver Millennium," Mai muttered.
"Spirit World?" Neflyte asked.
"Not important right now. Do you recall a girl by the name of Naru Osaka?"
A pained look crossed Neflyte's face. "Yes. I hurt her when I died, but I could not let her be killed by Zoicite."
"Are there any others who were brainwashed like you were?"
"Jedite, Zoicite, Danburite, and Kunzite. Danburite is like me. Jedite has been banished to the Dark Dimension after being sealed up in crystal. Zoicite and Kunzite are still serving Beryl, until she tires of both of them."
Mai gave a long groan of exasperation. "This isn't harmless practical jokers. This is a deadly serious threat. So much for the vacation."
"Vacation?"
"Never mind. I need to think," Mai said.
Before she could proceed to think, Mai head a scream come from the graveyard. She quickly let the energy going into the stone dissipate along with the ghost, as she looked at the graveyard. She saw Naru looking up at a floating man(?)and the priest was also nearby. The floating person held up a black crystal.
"That's not yours! That belonged to Neflyte!" Naru shouted.
Mai opened her shinai case and pulled out the Elephant Makendo. She dropped the piece of jade into her case and closed it. After doing so, she held up her transformation device.
"Ma-Ken-Do!"
Mai's clothes vanished, as she twirled around and a sailor suit formed on her. A shiny white and gold shinai appeared in front of her and she grabbed it.
"Back to work," Mai muttered

Elsewhere, Luna was berating Usagi for wasting time when the hunt for the Rainbow Crystals was still going on. Usagi was about to respond, when she heard Naru scream.
"Moon Prism Power! Make Up!"
After the obligatory spin of lights, Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon. She grabbed the Crescent Moon Wand, which was blinking rapidly.
"There is a Rainbow Crystal carrier nearby," Luna said.
Usagi grabbed her communicator from subspace and called for some back up from the other Sailor Senshi. She quickly ran forward and saw Zoicite floating above Naru and the priest she was talking to.
'The Dark General that killed Neflyte? I have to save Naru.'
Sailor Moon rushed into the graveyard. Zoicite turned his attention to the priest and held up the Black Crystal. A black sphere of energy shot forth from the crystal and struck the priest in the chest. Circular ripples appeared around the area where the ball hit and an orange crystal appeared in the center of the ripples. The crystal shot off to somewhere in the graveyard.
"Hold it right there. I am the beautiful sailor suited solider Sailor Moon. In the name of the moon I will punish you!"
"Sailor Moon, I hope you enjoy fighting. Zoi!" Zoicite said, as he poured energy from the crystal.
The priest turned into what looked like a blonde haired boxer with vulture wings. A boxing-ring bell was being used as a belt buckle.
"Father, please stop this!" Naru cried.
"I am not a priest. I am Boxy and I am a champion."
The bell at Boxy's waist rang. "Round one begins!"
"KENDO HO!"
A beam of blue light struck Boxy on the back of the left shoulder. He grunted in pain, as everyone turned to look at who fired that blast.
"I am First Makendo of the Spirit Police. Cease you hostilities at once, or be destroyed!" Mai declared, as she lowered her still glowing shinai.
"Makendo?" Everyone said in unison.
Mai grinned nastily. "Yep. Yokai Hunters or Spirit Hunters if you will. I have had to deal with things like Kitsune and Oni. I am very good at this. Now then...."
With that, Mai used one of the gravestones to launch herself upward towards Zoicite. The Dark General canceled his flight spell and dropped to the ground, just in time to avoid getting hit by Mai's shinai. Zoicite saw that Tuxedo Kamen was also in the area and had claimed the orange Rainbow Crystal. He was about to pursue when he heard Mai shout again.
"Kendo ho!"
Zoicite spun around and fired a black ball of energy at the incoming attack.
"Zoi!"
The two magical attacks collided and exploded. Mai closed her eyes and let the energy buffet her back a bit. Zoicite was thrown backwards by the blast. He quickly stood up and fired off an attack at Mai. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon was having a bit of a hard time with the injured Boxy. Boxy raised his right arm and fired off three boxing gloves. Sailor Moon dodged out of the way of all three of them. However, one of the boxing gloves hit a gravestone near Naru and it exploded. Naru hissed in pain as some of the stone shrapnel hit her in the left arm and leg.
"Naru!" Sailor Moon cried out.
"Deal with Boxy first!" Mai yelled, dodging Zoicite's black energy spheres. "Sure, she's injured, but if you don't deal with that thing first, she'll be dead!"
Sailor Moon's eyes hardened into resolve and she raised the Crescent Moon Wand. "Moon Healing Escalation!"
The healing energy washed over Boxy and an image of a crescent moon appeared around him.
"Refresh!"
Box turned back into a priest, who collapsed unconscious from the blast he had received as Boxy. Mai grinned at Zoicite, as blue flames surrounded her. She shot towards the shocked Dark General like a rocket. Zoicite fired off some more black energy spheres and was stunned that they bounced off the blue flames surrounding Mai. He dodged the dash attack and quickly teleported away in a spiral of cherry blossoms.
"He has some sense," Mai said, shaking her head. "I better see how everyone is doing."
Mai walked up to Naru, who was holding her arm and bleeding from the wounds in her arm and leg. Mai winced, when she saw that one of the shrapnel pieces had broken Naru's leg. She knelt down and laid her shinai beside her.
"Hold still," Mai said, as she held out her hands.
"What are you doing?" Sailor Moon asked through her sobs at seeing Naru hurt.
Mai said nothing, as she concentrated. A blue glow emanated from her hands and washed over Naru. Naru felt a bit giddy from the blood loss and whatever energy this strange girl was using on her. Mai lowered her hands and nodded in satisfaction. She quickly turned to Sailor Moon.
"I was healing her, Usagi," Mai said.
"Thank you. Oh thank you," Sailor Moon said, and then the last word that Mai said penetrated. "What did you call me?"
"Usagi?" Naru stammered. "What? Sailor Moon is Usagi?"
Mai winced, as she looked at Usagi closer. "Oops! Sorry! I didn't realize that that was a disguise field."
Mai went over to the priest and quickly healed his shoulder and motioned to the other two girls. "He'll be all right. We have things to discuss, and I don't think we want to discuss them out in the open."
Mai quickly grabbed up her shinai case and detransformed in front of the two stunned girls.
"Mai?" The two shouted in unison.
"Usagi? You had better detransform," Mai said with a smile. "It's going to be pretty strange for Sailor Moon to be talking to two ordinary girls."
Luna had seen the entire debacle and was trying to figure out some way to salvage the situation. She was so preoccupied with that, that she failed to stop Sailor Moon from destransforming.
"Usagi?" Naru asked. "How?"
"It's a long story," Usagi said. "I'm not sure how to begin."
Mai shrugged. "We could talk at my house."
"Are you sure we should in front of your sisters?" Usagi asked.
Mai stared at Usagi and then started laughing.
"What's so funny?" Naru asked, still a little shell shocked at what had just happened.
"You weren't paying any attention to my face. I don't have a disguise field. Besides, they are also Makendo."
"Three more magical girls," Usagi asked.
"And one magical dog. Sabi also has a Makendo form," Mai said.
"Err."
Mai walked over to the black cat that was not really acting like a cat and picked it up.
"Let me guess? This cat can talk?" Mai asked.
"How did you know?" Usagi asked a bit bewildered.
Mai gave a shrug. "I'm used to dealing with talking animals. I once had to fight a talking owl that was two meters in height and, I also had to deal with three demented fish that were each three meters long."
"She was not supposed to let anyone know about her Sailor Moon activities," Luna said. "It would put those people at risk."
"It seems to me, Naru was already at risk," Mai told the cat and then turned her attention back to Usagi. "We really should discuss this at my house. It's a lot safer."
Mai handed Luna over to Naru and waved. "Give me an hour to get Saya and Hikari ready for this. I'm quite sure you have to prepare as well for this meeting."
'Usagi owns a talking cat and is Sailor Moon! Mai is another magical girl! What more can happen?' Naru asked.
Just at that moment, Makoto Kino came running up and saw Usagi and the two girls standing around.
"You're a little late for the battle," Mai said with a wink and a smile.

Back at Beryl's fortress, Zoicite appeared and grasped his side while panting for breath.
"You failed," Beryl stated.
"Tuxedo Kamen has the orange crystal," Zoicite said. "I could have reclaimed it if it wasn't for that girl claiming to be Makendo. She was just relentless in attacking me."
"Makendo? What is a Makendo?" Beryl asked.
"She looks to be a variation of a Sailor Senshi, but she claims to be working for something called the Spirit Police," Zoicite replied, shaking his head. "But she was far more competent and powerful than any of the Sailor Senshi."
"I see. Things might be more difficult than I thought," Beryl said. "I will have to confer with Metalia about this threat called the Spirit Police."
Zoicite tried to bow, but winced in pain from the shinai blow to the side of his ribs.
"Kunzite, patch him up" Beryl ordered.
"Yes, my queen," the white haired Dark General said with a bow.
After Beryl left, Kunzite looked over Zoicite. "This Makendo girl really worked you over. She could become a very big threat."
"I think she already is."
