Akane's Rose [Episode 1602]

by Thrythlind

Akane stroked the aristocrat's hair lovingly. Kodachi was still recovering from the stress the day had put her through. She was sleeping soundly, the tear tracks upon her face fading away as Akane brushed at them.

Who could have figured that Kodachi was so unhappy and miserable. Akane had always before thought that the gymnast was cheerful, demented, yes, but cheerful.

And Akane'd be damned if he let Kuno NEAR Kodachi again after hearing about some of the things his rose had to live through with that psychotic.

Good grief, Kuno must have gotten the same training video Genma had. Kodachi was messed up. It had taken Akane transforming into a man in front of her and getting hit by a love spell to shock the girl back into reality. (and how that happened was a weird, weird story involving pancakes and hopscotch)

And that was just the most obvious bit. Akane strongly suspected that Kodachi had no sense of pain. She had a sense of when things were damaged, but didn't seem to register pain. As if she had been put through so much that her body refused to recognize it any longer.

Akane knew of some body hardening techniques to do something similar, but for it to have results this effective it would have had to been forced on Kodachi when she was little more than a child. And Kodachi's body was littered with small scars, nothing obvious unless you were looking closely...and Akane had been looking VERY closely.

"I'll protect you, my rose," Akane whispered.

Then she wondered where Kodachi had put the key to the handcuffs...

(I'm a Kodachiphile...so sue me)
