Coupled Union - Childhood Sweethearts: Looking To Love [Episode 160649]

by Kender

As she came back down the stairs from her apartment, Ukyo smoothed her hands over her clothing. It was something that she'd already done when she'd put them on, but she wanted them to be sitting perfectly on her body. Not that a simple blouse and a pair of slacks would be all that impressive to begin with, but it was the outfit that she had chosen on her way up from her restaurant.

Ranma had told her that he had liked her in that sort of outfit, after all.

Since he was coming, she wanted to dress up for him, but putting on a dress seemed to be a bit much, considering how 'informal' they kept things between the two of them. That had left her trying to pick between skirts and pants, and the latter had won out when she remembered how much he'd seemed to happened to enjoy seeing her in them. Besides, it was a bit of a play on how he had taken her to be a boy for so long.

Of course, what she was wearing wasn't about to make someone mistake her gender. The pants followed the length of her legs quite nicely, and her blouse was one that she'd brought on a shopping trip with Akane that showed a hint of cleavage without actually showing anything. Many guys might have been interested by the sight, since she was wearing a bra, and not her old bindings, but she wasn't aiming to get leered at.

But what she did want was to be ready for her husband to see her again. That meant getting everything ready, which included the restaurant. She knew his favorite sorts of okonomiyaki by heart, and she was going to have them ready as soon as she saw him. Actually, she'd have to see him, or at least have forewarning about his arrival to know when to make them. However, she was going to have it nicely prepared for him, and their friends.

It was promising to be a great time. Ranma was coming, and she'd be in his arms again. And they would have the Tendo sisters around, which would mean that they would have friends to celebrate the reunion with. All she could think of was the party that they were certain to have, and she knew that there was nothing out there that could mess up her coming happiness.

Tsubasa Kurenai was a man with a mission, and he wasn't going to let anything mess it up. His dear Ukyo was out there, and she was not someone that he could simply let go. Sooner or later, he would get through, and make her understand that he was the one for her, even if she chose to live like a man.

He was also a boy in a skirt.

As he was currently dressed as a schoolgirl, that was understandable... kind of. To him, it was the logical choice for someone who would be with Ukyo to wear. If she was going to dress so that people would think that she was a boy, then he was going to have to dress as a girl. That was perfectly clear to him.

Of course, there were others who didn't take his appearance too seriously, but then people like that jerk Ranma Saotome had never been particularly understanding of the sort of dedication that a man could take for the woman that he loved. Then again, Saotome had probably never caught on that his best friend was really a girl. Saotome should have been able to do that much, but he'd always come off as a bit too clueless to really be figure out such things.

Not that Tsubasa cared. His heart was set on the fair Ukyo, and he was going to be reunited with her sooner or later. And when that would happen, that could be the moment that she took his gifts with the love that they were given with.

No one passing the 'girl' with her hands clasped together as 'she' held a far away look in 'her' eyes thought that anything was not quite right, while:
