Hotaru's 'Brother': Sailor V [Episode 161258]

by Kestral

Sailor V stood there, ready to fight this menace - except that the menace appeared to have a prior engagement.

"Vampiric entity, type II," said a boy floating in midair, staff chambered behind him. "Target acquired. Lethal methods authorized."

Sailor V wondered if she should say something.

"Such power, such power should make my masters quite pleased," said the yoma, throwing black lightning at the boy.

The staff came forward, blocking the lightning as it spun, then the business end pointed towards the yoma. There was no calling out of an attack phrase, simply a flash of light.

Then the yoma simply came apart.

Sailor V hid behind the water tower. Was this a new menace?

"Sailor Senshi. Identification Venus."

Sailor V's eyes tracked to the side, showing her that her attempt to hide had not been successful. The boy was floating there in midair. She nervously swallowed, preparing to fight.

"There is no need for combat unless you attack my sister, or attempt some other act determined to be villainous," said the boy.

"Are you a good guy or a bad guy?" asked Sailor V, not particularly relaxing.

The boy considered that. "According to Hotaru, I am a good brother. Otherwise, I am not certain."

Sailor V watched as the boy began flying away at a good rate of speed, trying to figure this out. All she had to go with was a name - apparently the boy's sister was named Hotaru?

Maybe Artemis knew something?

Nine ear old Hotaru pouted at her big brother. "She's a 'Senshi'? What's a Senshi?"

Ranma considered how to answer that.
