Going from the Time Gate to what looked like the walkway to an island hotel was quite disorienting though, since it hadn't been done under her own power.
Twirling about, she looked at what surrounded her, and discovered that the building that she'd first seen was a good indication of what the rest of the place was like. A soft sea breeze stirred palm trees and verdant grasses. Buildings built of wood with large windows stood apart, with each of them sitting there like beach bums enjoying an endless summer. The scents of tropical flowers and good food mixed on the air along side the sounds of music and wind chimes.
All of which was kind of odd since she'd been where there was only a single gate surrounded by mists only a moment earlier. She didn't know where she was, or what was going on. What she knew was that Serenity had apparently decided that she needed to have a vacation no matter what. Of course, one could argue that it was a joke of some kind, but then the queen had brought in a catgirl Senshi who hadn't existed before to be the guardian of the Gate during her 'time off'. Knowing that, and all that could go wrong, she wanted to get back to the Time Gate before something happened.
Instead, she got to stand there as a pair of people in their twenties came out of the main building and headed straight at her. One was a tall and shapely girl with brown hair and glasses, and the other was a shorter man with tanned skin, both of whom looked fairly familiar. "Welcome to Urashima's Island, Miss Meiou!"
"Ummm.... Hello?" Pluto replied to their chorused greeting. "How do you know my name?"
"Neo-Queen Serenity set everything up for your stay. I'm the events manager here, Naruko Urashima," the young woman told her.
The young man nodded. "And I'm the hotel manager, Kei Urashima."
"Hold on a second. 'Naruko'? 'Kei'? Don't tell me that you're Keitaro Urashima's kids...."
"His descendants, actually."
"And Koalla Su...."
"Is in us. Among others."
"Eh?"
"You see, it's been a while since the first times of the Hinata Inn. Sort of," Naruko told her with a helpless shrug. You see, the Urashima guy that you know got married, but the other girls didn't go away. The clans stayed pretty close together over time, and now we've got Narusegawa, Aoyama, Su, Maehara, Konno, Su and Otohime blood in us, as well as others."
"You mean to say that you're all...."
"'The descendants of those lines'? Yes, we are."
"You see, way back when, Kaolla Su's intervention got Keitaro this island, and since his family's been in the hospitality business, this place was made into a resort. We have restaurants, meditative retreats, bars, tea houses, cultural areas, wonderful beaches, and many more things to enjoy for someone looking to get away from it all," Kei put in.
"All that?" Pluto asked.
"Yup, and you're supposed to be here for a long stay, so you enjoy yourself. Horseback ride, find friends, play games, relax in a lounge chair, go swimming... You can do it all, except...."
"What?"
"Don't go to the island to the northwest."
"Why not? Is it someplace where a genetics experiment has run wild, leaving the place to artificially created dinosaurs? Or is it the hidden spot where you carry out some sort of evil scheme that you use this place to keep hidden?"
"It's where all the biggest perverts were sent to keep them out of trouble, and you should only go there if you want to have to deal with a bunch of people who have very high libidos, and low morals, but not a whole lot of evil in them."
"Of course, if you want to be in a place where both the men and the women will want to jump you as soon as you get there, enjoy yourself," the female Urashima commented. "Of course, we'd probably get to you after you've had your mind blown to where you can't think, but I hear that some people consider that to be relaxing, and getting to it to be a lot of fun. But I've never seen the reasoning behind that line of thought."
That brought a blink from the tall Senshi, who began to wonder just what she'd gotten herself into, while:
