Not that she was alone in that regard. The only one not staring was Sailor Pluto who was curled up tighter than ever repeating the mantra of "notmyfault. notmyfault."
"Remember," said King Mickey. "The Heartless seek to take advantage of the darkness in people's hearts. Fill your heart with light, control your inner darkness, and you deny them entry."
"R-r-right," said Sailor Mercury, scanning for all she was worth now.
"That's -" said Sailor Jupiter, pointing, eyes wide. She knew this mouse!
Sailor Venus recovered somewhat, and sang. "M-I-C-K-E-Y..."
"It's got to be a trick," declared Uranus, lifting her sword and charging.
If they were staring before, the sight of Sailor Uranus and Mickey Mouse in a swordfight (one using a large key and the other a costume jewelry-adorned sword) that went back and forth through the mists - that moved it beyond staring.
After a few minutes of exchange, they separated again - leaping back to regard each other through the mists.
"You're... not bad," grudgingly admitted Sailor Uranus.
"You're pretty good yourself," cheerfully said Mickey.
"Haruka-san, Mickey-san, would you two PLEASE stop fighting," pleaded Sailor Moon. "I'm confused enough as it is."
"Oh, we can't have that," said the King, saluting his opponent with his keyblade. "I'm a bit busy right now, but if you go visit Merlin in Hollow Bastion - he should be able to answer your questions."
On seeing her opponent vanish into the mists, Sailor Uranus put away the sword. "I'll beat him next time."
"Don't diss the mouse," advised Venus.
"Merlin, Hollow Bastion," said Mercury, beginning to twitch.
Five hours fifteen minutes later, the time bubble imploded. The Senshi were now:
