A pair of rather pretty girls ran through a maze of streets, guns in hands.
"Kirika, hurry! Kirika!"
Setsuna blinked. What was this?
Shots rang, and people fell like confetti. The girls were no amateurs at this, that much she could tell easily.
She poked the scanners, and boinked it with her Rod, just to be sure.
They didn't budge.
So...
Alright, then... Just what was happening, here?
And why did she keep feeling that.
Everything was too late?
And then, she saw.
The woman fall, robes flowing.
Straight into the inferno.
Your Majesty?
It couldn't be Her.
It was Her. Her. The last Queen of the Moon Kingdom.
Her reincarnation.
And She had fallen into the fire so that -
Meiou Setsuna collapsed, then, and stayed insensible for a good long while, while the AI's at the Time Gate fretted only as AI's can.
- Sacrifice accepted, Fate and Destiny tuned and weaved in new directions-
Damn You. Damn You.
You left me again, before I even got to meet you again!
Setsuna Meiou sat at the Gate of Time then, and wept.
The Queen who never was in this lifetime is dead.
Long live the Two. Who Protect. Everything. ***************************************
Setsuna Meiou sat at the Time Gate, and fidgeted.
She was being...drawn thin, seemed to be the only word to come to mind.
She would have to leave this place, she knew that, somehow. But when she did...
She thought about it. And thought about it some more.
And then, downloaded as much information as possible in as many of the Time Gate's functions as she could think of. Including her own memories, even though she knew that they'd just be a pale frozen shadow of the original.
And then, she took a deep breath.
And walked out of the Gate.
