"Rock Me, Anateus!" called out Akane, bringing a fist down to the floor of the ring.
FWAAAAM! went the energies of her element, streaming into her.
"WHAT?!" yelped Ranma, as Akane had obviously learned some special technique recently.
He was startled out of his groove just enough that Akane caught his trailing leg when he leapt away from her next assault, and then-
He was looking up at a ceiling in a largely white room, and from the light from the windows it was early evening.
"Good, you're finally awake."
Ranma slowly focussed in on Akane nearby. "Huh? What?"
"You're a real jerk, you know that?" said Akane, scowling as she got up. "You knew what was at stake and you STILL treated everything like a big joke. You just HAD to go making the situation worse."
"What are you - I LOST?!" exclaimed Ranma. "Hey, what's with my voice? What's with - AHHHHHHHHH! WHAT ARE THESE?!"
"Saotome," said Akane, barely knowing this martial artist and not having a sufficient relationship to being comfortable with the first name basis. "You remember the wager your father made?"
"I'm... IT'S MISSING!"
"You're a girl now, Saotome," explained Akane. "Until and unless you graduate. There's a contract and you'll find out people who do magic are BIG on following the exact wording of contracts."
"B-b-but..." Ranma hefted her breasts, looking incredulously at Akane.
"EVERYONE was surprised," further explained Akane. "It all came out after you were unconscious. Your father wanted you enrolled here despite it being a school for magical girls because he thought of magic as just a set of special attacks. The principal thought having a MALE assistant PE coach teaching martial arts would be amusing, but apparently she had to set up some kind of test. It has to do with the rules of magic, as I understand it."
"I'm a girl until I graduate?!" said a twitching Ranma, three years being an eternity at her current age.
"That's why they picked me," said Akane. "I've only got minor magic - the 'Rock Me, Anateus' attack which increases my strength and ability to take a hit. Nobody expected you to take one decent hit and faint."
"I'll quit school," reasoned Ranma.
"Oh right," said Akane. "Saotome, the contract was UNTIL YOU GRADUATE. If you don't graduate, you're stuck as a girl."
FAINT!
Akane sat back down, waiting a few minutes until she finally lost patience and slapped the redheaded girl awake. "LISTEN UP. I'm going home, tomorrow's another schoolday. I asked some of my friends who are more into the magic stuff, and they think that if you do well at school they'll be able to get an amendment passed so you turn back into a boy on Sundays at least since that isn't a schoolday. Good night, Ranma."
Ranma turned staring eyes towards Akane as the girl, now the OTHER girl, paused in the doorway.
"Saotome, you might talk to your father about NOT signing any more magical contracts," said Akane. "I've heard stories. It can get worse."
Ranma stared at the doorway briefly after Akane had left. Finally she decided that-
