It was enough to wake the sleeping individual, whose nose wrinkled at sleep gave way to consciousness underneath that gentle coaxing. As small sounds of stirring wakefulness stole up into audible ranges, the figure moved under the sheets, almost as if feeling too grumpy to not give up a token resistance to being drug into reality. But the waking world was too insistent, and there was no avoiding the fact that getting up would have to happen sooner or later.
Oddly enough, consciousness came as Ranma felt something shifting in the chest area. For a few moments, it was confusing, until the familiarity of the weight said exactly what it was. Knowing that made it much easier for the martial artist, who lost any tension that might have been building up.
Flopping onto her back, Ranma dismissed any concern that she might have had about waking as a girl. She'd done it before, and she was too used to it to not know how to handle it. It was just disorienting to wake up in some ways, especially after a vivid dream, like the one that she had been just woken from.
The dream had seemed to be so real that she hadn't been able to tell that it wasn't actually happening. All that she had known was that she was looking at her guy side, and could only watch as he faded away. Little by little, he had vanished, until he had finally disappeared.
Shaking her head over the dream, she rolled over to bury her face into her pillow.... when she saw another body rising underneath the covers. That surprised her still groggy brain as she tried to figure out who it was that could be sleeping along side her. Even her mode of dress confused her, as she recognized that she didn't normally wear her Chinese shirt to bed. The only thing that she could be certain about in that half asleep moment when her brain wasn't even registering much about reality was that she had what looked like a guy sleeping along side her.
Sitting up, she leaned over to look, and saw that, laying right next to her was:
