Her thoughts turned back over what she'd managed to remember since her Foresight power had kicked in. Torajin had been a sort of sidekick character like Robin for several years. He'd hung around with the Justice League and the Teen Titans briefly, operated in Gotham City alongside Batman for a few months a couple of years ago, and even been over in England briefly with Union Jack III.
Torajin had been with groups of other heroes and had faced such heavies as General Zod and Sinestro. He hadn't WON such battles, in fact there was a photo a particularly brave or stupid newsman had gotten of the aftermath of his attempt to sleeper-hold General Zod.
The Japanese-origin hero operating with such groups had been seized on by the Japanese public. He was hated by some, loved by others, but the majority seemed to treat him much like a regional sports team. They supported him when he did well, and were considerably less enthusiastic when he was on a losing streak. The Japanese tabloids did their usual job, and had frequently speculated about this or that relationship with various superheroines and stars.
Torajin's major powers were martial arts related, some chi training and apparently he had a lot of chi. He also had various gadgets and gizmos that he'd whip out, particularly if he had some idea of what kind of opponent he was facing in time to prepare for it.
Those things all went through Akane's head, and she decided that there was a perfect way to test a hypothesis. "Hey, ah, Ranma. Would you care for a little friendly sparring?"
Ranma seemed to freeze for a moment, a look of confused recognition briefly passing over his face before he answered.
