The whole thing was overblown, if you were a Westerner of this modern setting. Likewise, if you were a typical Roppongi girl or if you sported a heavy tan and went with the white eye make-up and lipstick - no big deal. There were groups in Japan who would smirk and for whom a kiss was just a kiss.
It was NOT the case for one Ami Mizuno, nor the Inner Senshi. On a few occasions they'd chatted about the subject, such as when one of Usagi's friends had had her "pure heart" stolen by a vaccuum cleaner daimon. In THEIR cases, the whole First Kiss thing was more in keeping with the poem by Lord Byron about the "First Kiss Of Love". Michiru and Haruka had been amused by the whole thing, being far above such childish things of course. Ami was to get no sympathy from them in this regard.
Embarassment, outrage, horror - all these were storming through the heart of Sailor Mercury.
Fortunately, there was a target involved. Her First Kiss (not to mention First Grope - of which far less childhood romanticism had focussed on) had been STOLEN! "Aqua Rhapsody!"
Ice formed over stairs. Over walls. Over floors. Over a blue-garbed kendoist who had decided to visit at exactly the wrong time.
Genma used whatever he could to block and otherwise dodged. He wasn't sure why this girl was so upset. Of course, he was still a bit drunk too. He'd be glad of the insulating properties of that condition later.
Hotaru watched as the boy came closer to her position, licking her lips nervously. She was about to go beyond a First Kiss herself, and she was trying to figure out how she felt about this setup. Certainly the boy was attractive and capable, but she had been hoping to get to know her first boyfriend and not simply go straight to hot and heavy sex.
