If she'd had that, then she would have a whole lot more options available. She could use it for both defense and offense, but she couldn't get to it. Sure, it was within a few steps, but as she was held like this, all that she could do was lean forward in her bonds and imagine what would happen if she got free.
Her mental images didn't include Hotaru leading in other Senshi like a good hostess.
"Just as you can see, sempai and I were having tea together," the Senshi of Saturn told her friends.
"Oooh! That looks good!" Usagi declared as she clapped her hands together. "Mind if we have some?"
"I wouldn't mind...."
"And neither would I," Ranma commented as he came into the room.
"Really?" the reincarnated princess asked.
"Sure. If you come as friends of Hotaru, I have no problem with that."
"Thanks!"
Rei gave an exaggerated sniff. "This is much better than having to fight Pluto. I mean, now we won't have to deal with that, and can have a nice conversation."
"Me? I just think that she needs to take some time off. Maybe even find a guy who she can get really intimate with, so that she can stay away from the guys that we'd want," Minako commented.
"Did I just hear what I thought I did?" the shrine priestess whispered.
"I'm not sure that she understood what she just said," Makoto murmured. "Though, if she did...."
"I don't even want to go in that direction."
"This is Mina-chan that we're talking about."
"How about we talk about having some tea?" Rei idly asked.
"Sure," Ranma told her. "One sugar or two?"
"One, please. This does look good...."
"I do believe that this is a more expensive blend of tea...." Ami observed as she sat and took a cup.
The sole male there nodded at the youngest of the girls. "It was Hotaru's gift to me. I thought that it was a good tea. What about you?"
"Oh, it's quite welcome. And I was not putting it down. As far as I am concerned, this is a rather good blend."
"I like it too."
"Biscuits?" Minako asked, picking up an example of that food product.
"What else can I do? It wouldn't be polite to have guests over if I let them starve."
"But this is good," Usagi told him as she popped a biscuit into her mouth. "If you want to have really good ones, then talk to Mako-chan. She's a great cook."
"Really?"
"Uh-huh!"
"I'll have to see what possibilities there are," Ranma allowed, not willing to comment about how unlikely anything more than cookie deliveries might be.
"Ummm... Pardon me?" Pluto hesitantly said. "Aren't you going to help me?"
Minako gave her a passing glance. "Why should we?"
"Yeah. There was that whole 'snipping' thing, remember?" Usagi told her.
"And it just isn't all that big a problem. This way, you won't be running around in a self righteous fury. You stay there like that, not causing trouble, and I have some jam with my name on it," Rei put in, as she settled down at the table.
All that Pluto could do was stare as she watched Ami pour some tea for Ranma, with the other 'Inners' taking their own seats, while:
