Akane's Labor: Bounty Hunters [Episode 16392]

As soon as Akane and Red entered the cargo bay, there came another noise.

This time the noise was a baseball of some waxy substance. It struck Red in the chest and in very little time the shorter girl was fighting tendrils of some plastic that were trying to tie her up.

"Capture sphere? But those are only used by-" at this point Red found some of the stuff had shot past her struggling hands to form a gag and mask that effectively cut off her senses.

"Now I have you - Akane Tenso! The bounty on you will clear my debt at the baccara tables a thing of the past!"

Akane winced and frowned. She had a blast pistol, her gunner/cook/copilot was currently losing a fight with a perverted hi-tech restraining device, and that voice was way too familiar.

Of course this was likely another Analogue, but this one wasn't on the same side, and this one was a bounty hunter. Hmmm. Maybe her briefing cube had info?

Bounty Hunters - any of a group of skilled mercenaries whose purpose is to apprehend people fleeing the current authority. A number of these also double as assassins or some other form of elite solitary military force. Almost all bounty hunters work alone. It is suggested that -squAWRK-

Akane dropped the neatly holed and smouldering cube.

"Whoever you are," called out the voice, "Akane isn't paying you enough. Your employer is captured, and I don't have any quarrel with you. Surrender and I'll leave you with her ship. My business is strictly with Akane."
