Nobody was paying any attention to her, except for Cid who was occasionally checking to make sure the 'fool woman' didn't fall off. Neither Rikku nor Ranma nor Hotaru were concerned, mainly because she seemed to finally be relaxing and enjoying herself.
Ranma and Hotaru were a little relieved themselves. The woman had seemed "brittle" or something like that, while she was awake. When she was asleep, some of the things she said and did were a little concerning. Ranma found them embarassing while Hotaru found those sleeping things and actions a little more hostility-generating. If she weren't as nice and forgiving as she was, she'd have become quite vexed with Setsuna over the course of the past few days.
The rebuilt world of Radiant Garden spread out below them. An iceworld with a more habitable equator, at least as far as the "figurehead" could tell.
Glaciers were common, with mountains rearing up through them and spots of greenery here and there where the ice failed to reach.
If anyone HAD been paying attention, the frequent spates of giggling would have drawn a few looks.
Hotaru drifted ever so slowly towards Ranma's side as they watched from the observation deck.
Fleecy white clouds drifted by, uncaring of yet another airship sailing among them.
"Uhm, sempai?" asked Hotaru, moving another 4cm closer.
"I gotta admit, this is pretty neat Angel," said Ranma.
Hotaru blinked.
"In fact," said Ranma, stepping closer. "This is the best present I've ever gotten. Unless it was the day you walked into my life.""Sempai," said Hotaru, closing her eyes and tilting her face upward.
The kiss, when it came, was warm and gentle - promising and teasing. Ranma's arms around her were warm and protective, filled with the strength she'd seen him wield but a light and reassuring grip.
"Does she do that often?" asked Rikku.
"Go staring off at nothing and all? Yeah," said Ranma. "Can't figure it myself."
