She froze, unable to pull the trigger and kill Mousse.
"Mousse" on the other hand was not similarly constrained by cultural conditioning that guns were bad.
Akane woke up on the deck, feeling the effects of some kind of drug and wishing that she had known these guns had a "stun" setting. They didn't, but she was confusing Star Trek and Star Wars. Mousse was used to going after prey that was worth more alive than dead and so had some nonlethal methods.
A quick check revealed that she was indeed alone on the ship.
Still, once they found out that Red wasn't Akane Tenso they'd let her go, right?
On a ship bound for Spice Mines, a redhaired girl raised her head. "Curse you, Akane Tenso! Because of you, I'm on my way to Hell! I'll get even somehow you slaver!"
One guard used a shockprod to shut up the idiot.
Akane ran through the manual and finally found the correct display. Mousse might have been nearly blind, but he was a damn good pilot. He'd managed to attach a small ship to the underside of the Red Streak prior to the hyperspace insertion without bumping the larger vessel. Then, when he'd gotten done, he'd simply detached his ship and exited hyperspace for a fast getaway.
There was damage to the Red Streak from the grappel and Mousse making a mess at one of the airlocks. More repairs.
Akane sat down and had some of the now-cold Corellian stew, trying to come to terms with having lost a crewmember. It had just been Ranma, so it wasn't all bad, but it was still someone who'd been her responsibility.
A beeping noise got her attention. Investigation revealed it to be:
