Thirteen: ...don't need no psychologist. No, really! I don't need him! [Episode 165994]

"She's waking up!"

Ranma opened her eyes. She was sitting in a comfy chair inside a room that looked like some kind of doctor's practice, but without the traditional pictures that show parts of the human anatomy. Looking at her with worried eyes were Unazuki and some unknown, elder woman with gray hair.

"Are you all right?" Unazuki asked in a concerned voice?"

"I dunno..." Ranma answered. "Wh... what happened, anyway?"

"You were falling asleep in my car, but I figured you just wanted to take a little nap. But when we arrived at the psychologist's place, I just wasn't able to wake you up. I sure am glad you finally did."

Ranma looked around. "Where's Shampoo?"

"My secretary is taking care of your cat," the elderly woman explained. She smiled at Ranma. "I'm Dr. Hino, Amnar! Nice to meet you!"

"Aha, so you are the doctor for the insane people, right?"

Dr. Hino frowned. "I would prefer for you not calling me that, but if you like... Are you always this hostile?"

Ranma shook her head. "No, only to people that hold me against my will."

"But I' certainly not doing that," Dr. Hino said. She mentioned towards the door. "You can leave anytime, if you like."

"Yes, but I can't return to my grandfather's home, right?"

"I'm afraid I'm not able do decide that," Dr. Hino said. She sat down in a chair in front of Ranma. "Well... is there anything you want to talk about? Perhaps we can find some sort of solution..."

"I don't know what we should talk about," Ranma sullenly said.

"Why don't we start with the doors you're seeing everywhere?"

Ranma decided to play a little dumb. "Doors?"

"You know... the doors and corridors that you've seen in the past days. At the airport and in your grandfather's house... and this morning, in Miss Mizuno's office.

Ranma was baffled. How did she know about this? she wondered. She certainly didn't talk to anyone about this.

She coughed and said: "Well... perhaps I'm just lonely and sad, because my mother is dead. And seeing those doors is just my way of searching for a way to escape this cruel world. And that man with the knife could stand for my fears."

Dr. Hino looked at her for a moment, then sighed. "It looks like we have a long way before us, young lady."

"Why? I said everything you wanted to hear."

The doctor stood up. "I suggest we continue this conversation later, if you have calmed down a bit. Say, the day after tomorrow, same time?"

"Sure," Unazuki said.

After fetching Shampoo, they left. Ranma felt really silly for saying these words back at the doctor's. But psychologist were definitely people she didn't like.

While they were driving along the streets, Unazuki asked: "Dr. Hino certainly is a nice woman, is she?"

"I really don't know..." Ranma answered.

"She is, really! And I think you will start to like her as well, you two just had a bad start."

"Like with Miss Mizuno?" Ranma asked.

Unazuki grimaced and shook her head. "No one really likes her. I think she is spending too much time working and won't just relax for a little while. I think that is the reason why she is so... cold to people."

Ranma didn't want to think about that. What she knew was that she didn't want to return to the youth center. So she thought of a plan.

"Um, excuse me, please..." she started.

"Yes, what is it?" Unazuki asked.

Ranma mocked some reluctance. "It's kinda embarrassing, but... I kinda need to go to the bathroom."

Unazuki sighed. "Can't you wait until we're back at the center?"

Ranma shrugged. "It's your car, not mine. If you want to take your chances... the seats look pretty new to me."

Unazuki seemed to think about it. "Okay, if it REALLY is that urgent... The train station is nearby. There you can go."

----

After parking the car, they quickly went to the ladies' restroom. To Ranma's frustration, Unazuki wasn't waiting for her in the car. She followed her into the restroom and said. "Okay, here we are, but make it quick!" Reluctantly, Ranma entered one of the cabins and closed the door. She looked around, but there really was no way to escape without being seen by Unazuki.

Shampoo slipped in below the door and whispered. "What now, Ranma? Do you have a plan?"

"Not really," Ranma whispered back. "Not as long as she is still standing there..."

Then, the door to the restroom opened, and Unazuki said: "Hey, this is the ladies' restroom."

A male voice, that sounded like its owner was slightly drunk, answered: "Heeh, lady... you got some cash? Need to catch a cab an' have no munny... have'ta go to my ol' auntie... she's sick, y'know?"

"Don't come any closer," Unazuki said with a shrill voice. "You are drunk!"

"Only a little cash... just a few yen... at least to make sum' phone calls... that's all I'm askin' fer..."

"Okay, that's enough! I'm going to call the police! Amnar, stay where you are. If this man is going to molest you... scream for help, okay?" She heard her exiting the room.

The other person shuffled to her door. "Ranma, are you in there?" the man asked, without any trace of drunkenness in his voice.

Wait a minute... how did he know her name? Unazuki just called her Amnar. "Who are you?" she asked.

"Mamoru send me," the man explained. "My name is..."
