Now, while the the two couples, Ranma and Ryouga being one, Akane and Kodachi being the other, talked the ring had shown up in the most unlikely of places....

Haruka or Michiro had found it and given it to the other, nothing seems to change in their relationship.
A certain cheerleader had found it...
Hikaru Gosunkugi picked it up, sensing the magic within.
Nuku Nuku had picked it up...
Lydia McKracken found it before bumping into Raphiel Rey on a brief vacation from training in Jade...(so I like wererat/werecheetah matches...)
Somebody entirely unexpected had it...
